I was not able to find the answer to this question either. I just went ahead and did it the way I thought it should be. If the order is changed a little during the ceremony, oh well, it's Mexico and we will just have to roll with it! LOL My order is: prelude, processional, bridal march, words of welcome, recitation of vows, exchange of rings, sand ceremony and signing of docs, closing, and recessional. I did not see your wedding date at the bottom of your post, but if it is after my date (05/28/11), I will let you know! Jaime I am so glad your wedding was FABULOUS! I can't wait to see your review. Thanks for the tips...something else for me to do on the front end so that I won't be stressed when I get there. I'm glad to hear everything is going well and they are treating you like the princess that you are. Enjoy every minute of it!

I started on this forum around the time of your wedding and loved your pics! Congratulations on your pregnancy! I told my FI that I am perfectly fine walking down the aisle "with child" but he said since we waited this long, we can hold off a couple more weeks until we get to Mexico. I'm hoping it happens there! Take care and congrats again! We have cancun video. I think they were considered a preferred vendor, as I don't recall any vendor fee.

Maggie I am so glad you posted this. I thought I could fit all of our wedding day stuff in one suitcase. SO WRONG! I have a few people in business class that will be bringing some stuff to help me out. It didn't seem like it was that much until I started packing. You're time is so close. I am so excited for you!

This gown is beautiful. My bridesmaids gowns are one shoulder for both our All White Weclome Party and our Wedding. I did our wedding programs from Vista Print. They have a lot of specials. 50% off is common. Ours is just one page front and back. I originally ordered matte, but I didn't care for it, so I reordered and got the shiny one. It's not called shiny, but for some reason my brain is stuck!

This is AWESOME!!! Your guests are going to love it! I wish I was as on the ball as you are. It's way too labor intensive for me to try and take on at this point.

It looks like you had a great Master's Weekend Bachelorette Party. I'm having my bridal portrait until after our wedding too. Jaime it will probably be cheaper once you get there. I paid $8 per cupcake, but reading through the forum others paid less. I think it was something like $6. I am hoping we can add anything we want once we get there. How many hours did your friend video? We downgraded from the full day of video to 5 hours because we needed to cut some cos and I'm worried we are going to miss some important things (first dance, cutting cake). Hi Ladies, Does anyone know the actually ceremony order for the legal wedding with the sand ceremony (singing marriage certificate/fingerprinting/sand ceremony)? I'm worried I did not put the correct order on my programs. Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Ladies, I just want to say thank you for all of your posts on this forum. I don't think I will ever make it out of newbie status. A special thanks to Maggie and Jaime for answering specific questions/issues that I had. I am happy to say that our RSVP suspense date is over, we have our final count, all choices have been made, and we have paid for everything. The only advice that I really have for brides-to-be: If you are not satisfied with your wedding coordinator rand/ or travel agent that you received,and you went through DW.com, follow your gut instinct. Don't worry about rocking the boat because this is YOUR day (and your FI's) of course! It took my sister getting really ticked off and contacting destinationweddings.com for things to really get on track for me. From the moment she did that, I was told to contact them. I was so over my first coordinator that I even dreaded making the call. I am so glad that I did. I was almost immediately assigned a new person at DW.com and at LOMAS, and things have been WONDERFUL ever since. I mean it was a TOTAL 360 degree turn. If I had known this, I would have made the change before my sister complained. Special thanks to Debbie Ryan at DW.com and Elizabeth Riff at LOMAS. If you get either of these ladies, you can put ALL worries behind you. They will surely make you feel like you and your wedding are a priority. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with these two ladies. Very caring, very professional. I am sure there are other great employees at both of these companies, but these two are my shining stars. I don't know if I should have put them out there like that, but they deserve recognition. I will still be lurking around the site from time to time to see how everyone is doing and to wish the new brides congratulations. Right now I am just so pleased to know that all I have left to do is put the song list together, show up for my final fitting for my gown, and decide how I am going to wear my hair. TLGnichi, If you have any active duty military people flying AirTran they can check up to 3 bags, even on vacation. I am dividing some of my stuff among different military people to avoid us lugging too much and being charged for excessie baggage. Just a thought. Most of us are leaving out of BWI.

I understand how that could happen beaz2be! I lurk around here quite a bit too. Sometimes reading things on here really does cause stress, but all in all, I think it is more positive than negative. I mostly PM people and they are always helpful. We are getting married on the 05/28/11, so maybe us Memorial Day weekend couples can get together for a cocktail. Hang in there! I know that you know that the time is flying!

Thank you so much for the suggestions! It's so hard to get the full picture since I have never been there. The thought of twisted lights and lanterns did not even cross my mind. I was stuck on it being so casual looking when I wanted a little more elegance. I don't want it stiff, but I don't want a beer party. You know? We will have between 30-40 people. Right now we are at 30,a nd some people say they are coming in addition to that, but you know how that goes. Do you think Palapa Youg is too cozy for a reception area? I was thinking that the tables would be on the sand and we could use the platform for dancing. Maybe I should encourage flip flops? I think I will ask my coordinator about Zocolo, but maybe tomorrow. I have sent her something like 2 or 3 emails since I got her. I don't want her to think I'm crazy! I'm just a little anxious at this point, and happy that I feel like I have somebody in my corner.

Hi 1106wedding! I don't know if Angie left. I THINK I will be getting a new DW.com specialist in the next few days too. I have not cared for mine for several months, but was trying to just deal with it. My sister really got upset with her earlier this week, and that kind of got changes rolling. I had pretty much just stopped communicating with the DW specialist except for on an absolutely "as necessary" basis. I have to say that when I spoke to customer svc at DW.com the representative (Amber) was very nice and genuinely concerned that this be a pleasant experience for me. When I last spoke to Angie she told me that their priority was the January and February weddings. Amber let me know that my wedding should be a priority even though it is months away. I am pleased and very hopeful that I don't have anymore problems. This experience with Amber made my whole impression of DW.com change to a more positive one. I wanted the cold fireworks too. My reception will be on the beach at Palopa Yoga because Zavas Plaza was not available. Let me know if they change their minds and allow it though, as it would be nice!
