    Use common sense and use the deadbolts on your door, that is what they are there for. If it makes any of you feel any better my fiance, my cousin (female, late 20's) and myself travelled to the Grand Sirenis a few years ago. My cousin had her own room and would go to the disco at night by herself, never did she have a problem. She went back with her sister just last year and again no problems.

    We are doing OOT bags at our welcome dinner, but I'm also doing up "In Flight Snack Packs" to give out at the airport. So far I'm planning on including Starfish & Seahorse cookies, almonds, gum and some other candies along with a brochure I made outlining excursions available in the area.

    On Four Weddings one of the brides used pictures of her pets as table numbers. It was nice b/c it got a lot of the guests up moving around to other tables to see the other pictures.

    I got some from a past bride on here, but ordered the additional ones on ebay from seller lukatanya, shipping was free I didn't have to pay any extra taxes or duties when they arrived.

    Does anyone know if there are additional charges for having the resort put up the decorations I will be bringing? I'm taking about 60 paper lanterns for the palapa and I'm hoping they won't charge me an outrageous amount for hanging them.

    Is anyone doing a gift registry? Neither my fiance or I are expecting gifts since our gusts are paying to travel with us, but I know there will be people who will want to buy something and have asked already. The only place I could think of online was Sears, but there really isn't anything we need or want from there. Can anyone think of any other online shops that would offer a nice selection with various price points?

    My fiance is constantly leaving change in his pockets so when I do laundry I put it in a dish and let it collect all year. I'm also a restaurant manager and sometimes I have to serve so any tips I collect also go in there. Just rolled up all the change the other day and the total came to just over $900 for one year. I've been doing this for a couple of years and each year that money goes toward something different.

    It has been a few years since I was there but when I was the service was great, the food was good - nothing great, nothing horrible. The beach is beautiful and I loved the ice cream shop. We are going back in April to get married and have travelled to the Riviera area about 7 or 8 times we choose the Grand Sirenis b/c of the private palapa and the price we were able to get. I have been reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and they are making me nervous too!

    HELP!! I need a pinterest invitation! I signed up months ago to get an account and got an email back saying it I would get an inivitation soon but nothing. I really want to start some inspiration boards so if someone can send an invitation to [email protected] it would be greatly appreciated.

    I loved the Ocean Turquesa when I was there a few years ago. I wouldn't bother with the towels since your guests will be able to get them from the resort and they will take up so much space and weight.

    Try Paper Circle, www.papercircle.ca I ordered from there and also got samples from www.paper-garden.ca . Paper garden allows you to select colors (up to 6) that you are interested in and will send you free sample chips to compare.

    That is the email address I have been using and usually get a response back within a few days. Instead of doing a rehearsal dinner we are doing a welcome dinner and I was told that the location couldn't be confirmed until a week prior.

    I have finally finished by boarding pass invites!! Thanks to all the inspiration found on this website and after months of playing around with different fonts, pictures, etc. We will handing these out at our upcoming Christmas party.

    I'm getting married at the Grand Sirenis, I have been to this resort and many others in the Mayan Riviera but choose this one to be married at because the beach is privatte - no other resorts share it. On the downside it is a little over an hour from the airport but it has a pretty good location for excursions, Tulum, Xel-Ha, 5th ave are all a fairly quick drive from there.

    Which package do you have booked? I have the platinum and the palapa is included. As for the other location, I think there are 2 ceremony spots, one is by the palapa and is more private, while the other one is located closer to the main beach. Don't take my word for it though this just what I have pieced together from other reviews and posts.
