  1. The Grand Sirenis has a really pretty ruin off of the beach that would make for great pictures.
  2. If you are thinking of Cancun or the Riviera it is extremely safe. I have been travelling there every year for the past five years and have seen nothing that has given me any concern. I will be getting married there next year.
  3. I've gotten coconut perfume oil from the Body Shop here in Canada as well as Pina Colada scented oil for putting on light bulb rings, cotton balls, etc. I just checked their website and noticed they don't carry either anymore. Here's the link for the stuff I have, if you can find it, it would work great. http://www.thebodyshop.com/_en/_ww/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Fragrance&catcode=C_Fragrance_PerfumeOils&prdcode=77629m You could try perfumes from Demeter they have all kinds of tropical scents, love the banana flambe.
  4. To get the images just go to goggle and type in what you're looking for and then click images. Not all are free but once you start looking you'll find things that will work. Sometimes you need to be really specific to get good ones. All do a general search on free vectors I have found some really good sites that have great images (sorry can't remember them now). Once you find images you like save to a location so you now where to find them later.
  5. Abbie32 Maybe you could take your group on an excursion to Tulum. Its probably about 10 - 15 minutes away from the Gran Bahia and admission is about $4.50 US per person, I think they only take pesos though. It would provide lots of great photo opportunities, a fantastic beach and give your guests a chance to learn some history. You can hire personal guides once you get to the ruins that willl provide you with the history.
  6. Christi, I can't believe you haven't seen "Say Yes to the Dress", its great! Randy is hilarious and work's for Kleindeld's Bridal. Basically the show is about brides coming in for their dresses. There is usually a little drama of some sort and the dresses are all gorgeous.
  7. Its been a few years since I've been there, but the $15 might be the enterance fee for the Mexican Fiesta. Its a once a week party that they sell tickets too. We purchased tickets to go but unfortunately the weather was horrible that evening and they had to cancel.
  8. I agree that she is acting very inappropriate. I understand that you feel guility, but she sounds like she might crack at the wedding so probably best to leave her at home.
  9. These are fantastic! I can only imagine how much time they must have taken, but well worth it.
  10. You could so a shrimp ceviche in your small tasting spoons.
  11. Try a watermelon & pineapple salsa, it would go great with lots of things, spicy shrimp, chips, chicken, etc. Its a nice change from the regular thing.
  12. Love the story and seeing the elastic made me laugh.
  13. Congratulations, I also hope to be a April 2012 bride - no offical date picked yet, but I've already started DIYing.
  14. Hello All, I'm having a hard time finding beachy clip art that I like - any suggestions for good websites? Thanks
  15. I have travelled to Mexico for the past five years (Cancun & Riveria areas) and have never once been scared or seen anything "shady'. The majority of people I have met depend so much on tourism that they treat tourists like gold. Everyone I have encountered has been friendly and helpful. Every year we go we leave the resort frequently on our own and take collectivos and the bus and have never had a problem.
