  1. Wow, they did a fantastic job, you must be thrilled with your pictures!
  2. I was worried the dress wouldn't be as nice as it is in the picture but when it arrived it looked just as great. It seems to be well made and shipping from beyond the rack was super quick and afforable. I would def order from them again.
  3. I made mine by purchasing trading card sleeves at Dollarama (5 sleeves for $1). They are a hard plastic so I brought them home and used a one hole punch to put the hole through and purchased 100 luggage loops on ebay for $5 plus shipping so the loops came to about $11 total.
  4. I'm getting married at the Grand Sirenis in April of 2012. We stayed at the resort in 09 and had a great time, but like you I'm looking for some current feedback on recent weddings.
  5. The dress arrived today!! Its seems to be very well made, now I just have to decide who it is going to fit better, my MOH or my mom.
  6. We really enjoyed our stay when we were in 09, you have nothing to worry about. The nightly shows were good, their theatre is huge, the pools are great as is the lazy river and the beach is stunning!
  7. Congratulations, you will be able to find an answer to just about any question you have on this forum. I have become completely addicted to it!
  8. I was at my local Winners over the weekend and they had boxed invitations from Gartner Studios, a box of 25 for only $19.99.
  9. Congrats! Have you been there before? I'm getting married there on April 24, 2012 and stayed there in 2009. Can't wait!
  10. I think its a nice idea. I can't imagine anyone would think you were rubbing it in their face.
  11. I'm also a 2012 bride, April 24 to be exact!! BDW has been so helpful and has given me so many ideas that I would have never come up with on my own. Congrats and happy planning!
  12. Hmm, is someone a little bitter today? If you feel this way don't go to any more receptions.
  13. I totally disagree! For us an AHR is just an opportunity to get together with those who were not able to make due to whatever reason. We are not expecting gifts, no registry and will make it very clear to everyone that gifts are not necessary. An AHR will be opportunity for those who couldn't be at the wedding to see pictures, slideshows, etc. We are the ones who are spending the money hosting an AHR so essentially we are giving back to those who spent their money by attending our wedding, besides they aren't just going for our wedding, they are also getting a week's vacation too.
  14. My fiance's only brother and his family are not coming too our wedding. We have booked a year in advance and made sure we picked a family friendly resort at a pretty good rate (about $1350 per person, taxes in). Only to have them tell us they can't afford it, but somehow they just bought a new truck and camper not to mention everytime we see them he likes to tell us how much money he is making in overtime pay. I realize its difficult, especially with a young family but come on its your only sibling and hopefully this only happens once!
  15. Love this, I have been travelling to Mexico for years and have always felt safe. Some of the guests are convinced that they are going to get shot as soon as we land at the Cancun airport. One (DH aunt) has refused to go but felt that she needed to let us know that maybe she would reconsider if we went to Aruba or Jamaica - sorry my wedding isn't good enough for her, guess she isn't getting an invite to the AHR!
