  6. Great idea! I know there are lots of pretty good companies on the web that let you make websites for free and are very nice. You can choose to allow advertisements or not and they charge a small fee. Congratulations, Lori
  7. Hi Michelle, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! There are so many wonderful resorts in the Mayan Riviera and their are lots of direct flights from NY. I have photographed in most resorts from Cancun through to Tulum if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Warmest wishes, Lori
  8. Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Most resorts have a lot of shaded areas to keep cooler when the sun is at it's strongest. In my experience the time of the wedding makes all the difference for comfort. The later the better. A wedding representative from the resort should be able to work with you to plan the best hour and location of the ceremony. In the Maya Riviera, rain is not common during that time of year and if it does happen it is usually short lived. Warmest wishes, Lori
  9. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Welcome to the site. Warmest wishes, Lori
  10. Congratulations Adriana!! Welcome to the forum. Warmest wishes, Lori
  11. Hi there, There are so many great places to do TTD shots from Playa to Tulum. Lots of abandoned buildings, rocky beaches, graffitied walls etc. To be sure you are getting the photo shoot you want, share all your thoughts and idea with your photographer. Most photographers will welcome your ideas and help you choose a location that will give you the exact type of photos you are imagining. Warmest wishes! Lori
  12. Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of valuable information here for a DW. Time will go quicker than you imagine and you will be very prepared!! Congratulations, Lori
  13. Hi there, I don't have a lot of information about the specific details and pricing of the Gran Porto Real but I have heard very nice things about the resort. One advantage is it is right in town, so lots of things to do for the guests. It is next to the famous 5th avenue which is perfect for variety. Congratulations on your upcoming weddings! Lori
  14. Hi there, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Secrets Maroma is a beautiful resort and location for your wedding. However for specifics, such as hair, flowers, DJs, photography etc. you can often get more options with outside local vendors. I know a lot of brides on the forum go that route and have been very pleased. Good luck, Lori
  15. Hi there, Most locals will tell you that although Akumal has very nice beaches and an abundance of marine life, Tulum has some of the nicest beaches in the Mayan Riviera. They are usually very secluded and flat. Hope this helps! Lori
  16. Hi there, I forgot to mention in my previous post for brides looking to get married in or around Tulum with regards to distance. The construction of the new overpass on the freeway going through Playa del Carmen to Tulum is now completed and cuts down on driving time considerably. What 6 months ago took 25 - 30 minutes can now be done in 5 or less. There was also an overpass constructed in Puerto Moreles which has also cuts down driving time even more. Regards, Lori
  17. Hi, Congratulation on your upcoming wedding!! We photographed a wedding in Now Jade last week. The resort was lovely. Very intimate and quiet. The beach was secluded for the ceremony. The couple was very pleased with their choice to use Now Jade. From a photographer's perspective it was a great location for photos as well. Warmest wishes,
  18. Hi MandM 2011, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We have photographed many weddings at Dreams Tulum and consistently has received great reviews from the brides and their families about the location. We have been told the added time to the drive was worth it. Especially if families are traveling together, the time goes pretty quick. Wendvipo had a good summary of the comments we hear. Warmest wishes,

Dreams Tulum - Jillian & Jeremy

Yet another awesome wedding at Dreams Tulum. This is one of my favorite resorts to shoot for many reasons: - perfect size for wedding group - lots of great architecture, color & unique locations for newlyweds - very nice spa - ceremony site is off to the side where you don't get alot of spectators - wedding coordinators are awesome :-) And probably alot more that I'm forgetting at the moment. Anyway, here are some of my favorites of Jillian & Jeremy from April 18th.
