  1. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! As previously mentioned that is usually the weather pattern for those areas. However rain can happen on any day, any time of the year so even if you choose to get married in February nothing is guaranteed. There are lots of beautiful days in August and rainy days in February. If your date is definitely for August I would consider looking at resorts that have covered gazebos as an alternate option, but still with beautiful views. Warmest wishes, Lori

  10. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! I am going to send you a link to a variety of places and resorts in the Mayan Riviera that i have photographed. It should give you a good idea of what is in your background and how private the surroundings are. Some resorts are very quiet and the area to get married is quite secluded, others are right in the center of the beach with lots of lookers, those are less common. I hope this helps, http://www.facebook.com/media/albums/?id=154316341271212 Warmest wishes, Lori

  15. Hi there, congratulations and welcome to the forum!! Dreams resorts have a very good reputation in the Mayan Riviera for destination weddings. However I would review the opinions of other bride's experience for more detailed information. Not too long ago I photographed a wedding in Dreams Cancun and I will include the link to give you an idea of the surroundings. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.165757510127095.27923.154316341271212&type=1 There are lots of great choices in the Mayan Riviera for resorts. If one doesn't feel right then research another and you will find the perfect spot. Warmest wishes, Lori
  16. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. Playa del Carmen and Tulum are both beautiful. Playa del Carmen is more active with more things to do, although it still has the small town atmosphere. Tulum is on the quieter more tranquil side and the beaches are amazing. I photograph both areas often and all brides are equally happy. It depends on your preferences what will suit you better. I will include a link to a wedding I recently photographed at Dream's to give you an idea of the area. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.203379589698220.45649.154316341271212&type=1 Warmest wishes, Lori

    Playa del Carmen - TTD

Photographing a Trash the Dress session is truly a fun experience. It gives the couple a chance to relax, let go and enjoy quiet moments together after months of planning a wedding. There is a lot of laughter and interestingly enough, some of the couples most intimates moments I see when taking photos during a TTD. It was such a pleasure working with Tamara and Dan as it is with all the wonderful newlyweds I have the privilege to work with.
