Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! Although we have not had problems with Excellence, it is not unheard of for this to sometimes happens. It is unfortunate and frustrating. I think most brides feel as you do and you should have a choice. I think sharing your concerns with the resort may help encourage them to change their policy. Warmest wishes, Lori

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! Recently I photographed a wedding at Now Jade and it was very private and beautiful, the ceremony was on the beach. The reception was located on the terrace of a restaurant that was not used by anyone else. It was off to the side and very private. Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! The Moon Palace can be inconsistent with their outside vendor policy. Usually they will allow outside photographers, however, they require they stay as a guest overnight. That was my last experience a few weeks ago. It may have changed. I would double check with the WC and have everything in writing but so far we have been able to enter under that rule. Warmest wishes, Lori

Kool Beach Club

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! The Kool Beach Club is very nice and very popular for tourists. Which is great but not very private! It is right next door to the Mamitas Beach Club which is the most popular beach club in Playa del Carmen. Usually by 9 a.m all the lounge chairs are full and so is that area of the beach. As mentioned above it is a small location. However there may be something that really appeals to you about that location so it may work for you. Best of luck and warmest wishes, Lori -

Congratulations and welcome to the forum!! Playa del Carmen is a great location for a destination wedding. There will be lots of things to do and see. There are also resorts that are very close to Playa so that is also something to think about. Sometimes it makes it easier to narrow down a location if you make a list of things that are very important to you. For example, quiet, private, kids etc. and go from there.
