  1. I bought the starfish from oriental trading, the fans from favors & flowers, and the card stock, ribbon and glue dots from michael's. The hardest part was messing around on the computer with the font and spacing to print out our names on the card stock.
  2. I got the idea for mine from orientaltrading.com, I think they turned out great!
  3. Love the pic of you two in the shade of the palm trees, but they all look great! Congrats!
  4. I just added the sheers to my detail sheet, and sent in my final payment. I decided I wasn't going to worry about bringing anything else down there with me. Here's hoping I didn't miss anything, or want to change things now!
  5. Wow, great review. Thanks for all the info. Glad you had such a wonderful experience.
  6. I had not heard of etsy before joining this forum, but ended up ordering several things for the wedding from there. Thanks for the suggestion!
  7. Does anyone have a sample sand ceremony script they used? I asked my WC, and she said there really isn't one. According to her, there is no wording exchanged on our part, and the minister just says 'a quick little something'. I've found some online, just wondering what others have done. I'm looking for a family one, we're having our 3 kids involved. Thanks!
  8. Sounds like a great price to me. I think I spent about $20 for the iron on transfers. I'm only doing 10 bags, so it would have been worth it to have them screen printed for that price!
  9. I'm doing a hot pink ribbon to match the card stock. I have 30 fans. I hadn't really thought about bringing them back home with me, but I suppose I could if the quantity works out for you. Let me know.
  10. We have 29 as well, including 7 kids from age 4 to 14. On another topic, does anyone know the drinking age in Mexico? I'm thinking 18 for some reason, but I don't know where I might have seen that.
  11. Hopefully this works better. We got the bags from cheaptotes.com, .99 each. We bought iron on transfers from Michaels. We did screw up the first 2, so I'd recommend buying a few extra sheets if you want to try this. I got the fan idea from orientaltrading.com. We still need to tie a pink ribbon around the handle, but you get the idea.
  12. Good luck - can't wait to hear all about it! Agreed on this site, it has been a fantastic help in planning. Thanks to everyone for all the ideas!
  13. No, we're not having a DJ. Just the dinner at Spoons, then we'll head off to one of the bars.
  14. 1) cheaptotes.com - I got mine for .99 each 4) i just bought card stock at michael's sorry, can't help with the others
  15. I'm using Spoons, but it won't be until July 19. I can let you know how it goes.
  16. finally got some things crossed off the list this weekend - we made our OOT bags, and assembled the fans: now to get the rest of the stuff to put in the bags!
  17. It is true, some countries won't let you enter if your passport expires in less than 6 months. China is one, but I'm not sure which others.
  18. If I do a program, it will be separate. I wasn't going to do one, as the ceremony will be so short, but I mentioned the sand ceremony to a friend and she had never heard of it. So she thought it would be nice to have a program to sort of explain what was going on.
  19. I'm not doing program fans, but am doing these fans I found at Oriental Trading: http://www.orientaltrading.com/beach-placemats-or-program-fans-project-a2-PT1398-12-1.fltr?Ntt=handmade+wedding Haven't decided yet about the program.
