  1. Everything looks so great! You're going to have an awesome trip, congratulations!!
  2. Adorable! I'm sure noone will notice. EXPLAIN THIS TO ME PLEASE!!! We are leaving to drive to Florida in 30 minutes and my FI can't find his driver's license. We have his passport so going on the trip isn't a problem. Please pray for me that this is the worst thing that happens and that I don't KILL him in the next few minutes!!
  3. Thanks, Koretta! We're leaving for Miami today!! I'm almost finished packing and I can't believe it!!
  4. I may have misspoke - My printer might handle 60-80# metallic, it will not handle 110# metallic. Good luck!! :-)
  5. Aww you're leaving on my wedding day! Safe travels! I'll be back on Sunday April 8, at which point... you'll already be married with not a worry left! Hurray!
  6. I used the starter bw/color cartridges and a little bit of another black cartridge to print 100 boarding passes (6 passes and a folder per invite, plus 18 pages of address labels). I used 110# cardstock in my HP 3050A all-in-one printer. I think standard printers can usually handle 60-80# paper without a problem. I just really like the weight of the heavy paper. My printer will NOT work with metallic cardstock though!!
  7. Tomorrow is my last day of work and we leave on Thursday!! So excited!! All I have to do is some last minute errands to Target and Kohls and finish packing When are you heading out?
  8. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both of us! St. Thomas is looking a little iffy this weekend and next week also... Hey, if it rains, maybe you'll get one of those amazing 'in the rain' shots I've seen! Plus, rain on a wedding day is good luck! Sending you good thoughts!
  9. Sign up for their emails. They send out coupons daily, practically, for postcards, hats, pens, shirts, rack cards, business cards etc. You'll have to pay for shipping and any image uploads, but the base models are all free!
  10. I like the DIY process, so maybe I'm biased but I loved making my invitations, and the price worked out really well with a bit of research and shopping gradually with coupons. I DIYed my boarding pass invitations. Here's the price breakdown: Boarding passes and monograms on belly bands: Snow White 110lb cardstock, www.cardsandpockets.com, $32/200 sheets Ticket jackets: Tabriz blue 110lb cardstock, www.cardsandpockets.com, $19/100 sheets Black cardstock for belly bands: 65lb, Michaels, $1.50/25 sheets Blue belly band ribbon: $24/6 rolls Envelopes: Nero (black) No. 10 envelopes, www.envelopperinc.com, $23.80/100 (nice heavy quality) Wraparound labels: full page labels, Staples, $6/25 sheets Total cost: $106 Approximate cost per invitation: $ 1.06 The only thing that would increase this cost is the tools (glue/double sided tape, straight cutter, corner punch, bone folder and scoring board), all of which I had before I started but it could increase the cost a bit.
  11. DIY STD'S & Invitations VS. Professional Printing Costs
  12. Check out www.cardsandpockets.com. They have the pocket folds, backing cards, insert cards, RSVP cards/envelopes in a million shapes, sizes and colors. Here's their intro to pocketfold invitations: http://www.cardsandpockets.com/productguide.aspx Good luck! Those are beautiful!
  13. have you tried just a basic straight cutter or rotary cutter? I guess it depends on what shape you're going for? Michaels has some big tag punches, but i dont know if they'd be big enough for your purposes.
  14. That is amazing!! You did an awesome job! I'm stuck on this task for our AHR, we need something like this! I might go to hobby lobby and try to find some sort of little vintage-y trunk. Thanks for the inspiration!
  15. Thank you so much! Actually, we are driving from Chicago to Florida to get on the cruise ship, so I have it kind of easy. I did package all three bouquets in a small box (maybe 18" all around?) in a bunch of bubble wrap. I think the box is small enough that it would be a carry-on for a plane. I've heard from others that planes will let you carry on these kinds of bouquets, though they may ask you to open the box.
  16. Thanks ladies!! Our candy buffet will be at our AHR! I have no idea how you would transport all this stuff down south!! We have like 80 lbs of candy and 20 glass jars, it would never work! Could you venue provide the candy and you bring plastic containers? Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby had a lot of different clear plastic containers that were nice quality.
  17. We leave in 9 days. I can't even believe that it's that soon. I have 6 work days left, including today. Where did the last 15 months go?!? I'm done with everything wedding-related, now it's just travel prep - packing, hair, nails, picking up last minute items, etc.
  18. Business cards for the keycard holders... Rack cards are good for door hangers! That's what I used with a circle cutter for the hole. Before: After:
