I think garters, cake topper and bouquets/bouts is not too much at all. Those garters are hot, btw! Also, I think the colors you mentioned will look great together, especially with bouts/bouquets to tie them together. I had a friend that had three bridesmaids - one each in purple, turquoise and green and it looked great! The GMs all wore all black with coordinating ties (puple, blue and green). I love peacock, so maybe I'm a bit biased in favor of it! :-)

I sent them instead of Christmas cards this past winter, trying to give lots of time to save and book, and everyone kept telling me I didn't give them enough notice! They all thought it was for April 2011! (even though it had 2012 plastered all over it, whatever LOL) can we see the proof?!

three of my coworkers and I have been bringing lunch for each other (each person one day per week), which has really helped (though we failed miserably this week). That way, we know we'll have a healthy lunch but only have to make it once a week. I'm thinking of switching to the online only plan, but they want me to pay another sign-up fee to switch, which is irritating me to no end. I'm tracking 100% this week, so hopefully I can stay on track through the weekend!

I'm doing WW too for an April 2012 wedding! I'm also stuck at about 15 lbs, which is really great from changing nothing but eating habits, but I want to lose more! I'm finding it difficult to find certain random foods on the tracker. I bought an "off-label" tracker app which has a lot more restaurants on it, and that has made it a little easier. Do you do meetings or online only? Do you track on your phone or on paper? I think we're just seeing a plateau right now. It will pick up again if you stick with it! Especially as summer arrives and there more options to get out of the house and be active.

love your colors! could you do your monogram on a contrasting color on top of the ribbon band when it's closed? or a starfish or a tiny piece of a palm leaf... I don't think they need a lot of dressing up, they're very pretty! can't wait to see the finished product!

I guess it depends on your location. I know April and May are busy for weddings in many locations, so we booked our photographer way in advance. It worked out to be $1400 for three hours, based on an hourly rate, so I guess it depends how long you want them there. I'm OCD and I booked way early so that I knew I'd get my choice! :-)

We are praying that his deployment gets cancelled or delayed. This will be his fifth tour in ten years, and second tour since his two-year old was born. He's an amazing guy doing wonderful things, but we hate him going over there. I love flowers, so it was a toughie not to go with real flowers, but with us being on a cruise, real flowers are just too much of a PITA! :-) What else stands up well in heat: roses, stargazer and calla lilies, orchids? definitely not tulips or day lilies! Love the color of your dresses! Can we see pics?

We haven't started working on attire yet. FI's brother might be deployed during the wedding (we find out next month), so we're waiting as long as possible. As far as invites, they're pretty much designed, but we need to order cardstock and start pu tting them together, since it will take forever I'm sure! The project I'm working on right now is my brooch bouquet, which I'm so excited about! I've been ordering brooches, real touch flowers, supplies, etc. Here is my inspiration pic from Fancy Pants Weddings (mine will be white roses/callas, with turquoise ribbon on the stems): Here are the brooches I've ordered so far!
