    Wow, it's beautiful! I made all my prom/homecoming/formal dresses in the past, but I just can't bring myself to do this one. I wish I had a nice dress form like that, might inspire me to do it! Nice work, can't wait to see it finished!!

    We're still hunting for a good location for an AHR. We're trying to be budget conscious, but with an estimated 175 guests, it's a challenge. Right now, we're narrowed down to Drury Lane in Oakbrook, Bobak's in Woodridge, Rockwood Tap House in Downers and Silver Lake Country Club in Oak Lawn or something down south. I'm doing site visits this week and getting quotes, plus trying to get ready to go to Maryland this weekend for dress shopping with my bridesmaids! Crazy!

    I don't have a MOH just 2 BMs. My bridesmaids live out of state. My mom and FMIL aren't big on girly girl shower stuff, but my aunt offered to host it, so I took her up on it!

    I haven't gotten many emails from them lately, but I got a huge one today - ordered rack cards for wedding day timelines, some address labels, best man t-shirt... 5 bucks for shipping!

    I haven't done them (obviously, since we're getting married next April LOL), but everytime I see them, I love them. I always think they're some of the sweetest, most personal photos - before you're in front of all the guests. We're trying to figure out the logistics of doing them (getting off the ship at separate times, but seeing each other at the courthouse pre-ceremony).

    Perfectly said, Tori! Our invite list was about 250 (lots of people my mom wanted me to invite) but we will probably end up with about 25, so you never know what might happen!

    We want more of a restaurant venue than a banquet hall I think. and I think we may have found one! It's called Public Landing Restaurant, in Lockport, IL. I actually went to an AHR there years ago, before I really knew much about destination weddings. Adorable old building, right on a canal, with screened in porches, patios, old stonework... FI and I are checking it out next weekend. If the price is right, we'll book it! :-)

    No way, NINE weddings?!? Wow!! Crazy but fun! I went dress shopping with my mom once last month, but didn't love anything. We're heading to DC in a few weeks to do a marathon shopping weekend with my bridesmaids. We have five appointments in two days! Hopefully I'll find something!

    i think the new one is better than the first one, but I think you should make your initials larger. the ampersand isn't getting married, you are! :-) In the end, it's your vision, and you should follow your gut and just have fun playing around with it. If you're getting frustrated, come back to it after a few days. That usually works for me.
