Borrow away! I made the tops (powerpoint -> JPEG -> word) and just printed them on cardstock. The shorter bags' tops were 6.6" wide and 4.5" tall, before they were folded in half. The treat bags' tops were 5.5" wide x 3.8" tall before they were folded over the bags. The clear bags were dollar store ziplocs and treat bags (large size) from michaels. OOT bag question
acireta replied to nimbleknits's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I did one per couple and one per single, if they weren't attending with someone. My BMs are sharing a room, but they're each getting their own bag. For the couples, like Ally, I also doubled up on shotglasses, soaps and chapsticks. -
I'm getting married four weeks from today, holy crap!! I'm at the point in planning where I am just done with everything. I don't want to make any more decisions, I don't want any more drama or speedbumps!! :-) I'm done with OOT bags and wedding day gifts for everyone. Second fitting is next week. I'm just working on printing emails, making packing lists, starting to make piles to pack and getting stuff lined up for our AHR! Hope all is going well with you ladies! Final stretch!

Thanks, ladies! BDW has done so much for me in my wedding planning. I hope that my templates can be a very tiny way to give back to this site for all it does for destination brides (not that my files are that great, but I hope they can help some folks). If you don't have enough posts, please become a supporter of BDW! It's the best $30 you'll spend on your wedding, I promise!! Thanks, Annie, my fellow cruise bride :-) The embarkation wedding and not knowing your venue is frustrating, I know! The pez, shotglasses and guitar picks are all nods to my FI's favorite things. The mustang soaps are because of how we met (at a car show) and our love of Mustangs. You couldn't pay me enough to tear these apart and redo them at this point, so I totally know how he feels! :-)

I included a few different bags with stuff for the guests in the OOT bags. Brandy’s kit labels by Rebecca were a huge inspiration for the toppers for these kits. I absolutely loved making these bags! I think this was one of my favorite projects throughout this planning process, and I’m really excited to share them with you all. We got the bags from Cheap Totes, and they were totally worth the price ($2.89). They’re a nice large size with a big pocket on the outside, and the quality is great. I made tags for each bag on shimmer cardstock, and used a 3†punch from Michaels (with a coupon of course!) I did separate welcome packets for cruising guests and St. Thomas guests. I ended up making my own folders from black cardstock because I couldn’t find the right size folders I needed. I tied each folder with ribbon and a welcome monogram. Welcome Packet Contents Welcome postcard (Vistaprint) Wedding week events (Vistaprint) Wedding day timeline (Vistaprint) Photoshare business cards glued to one of the pockets (Vistaprint) St. Thomas postcards (www.vitraders.com) – top postcard (Vistaprint) explained one should be returned for our guestbook Door hangers (Vistaprint) Photo release form for the cruising guests (from Carnival, see templates below) Recipe cards (from Jules23, Vistaprint) Keycard/tip holder on lanyard (stores.ebay.com/gcishoponline) Here's the whole welcome packet all put together: To be continued...

Bridal shower HELP!!!
acireta replied to Gin Bootles's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
For my shower, I made sugar scrubs for all the guests, and I got rave reviews. I think it worked out to maybe $2/jar? I still have about 25 jars if you decide to go this route. This may be too much info but whatever LOL I got pet jars from Uline (sold by the case, best prices I could find), sugar and oil from Aldi (cheapie grocery store) and fragrance oils from Michaels. One variety box of fragrence oils would make more than 85 scrubs. I made labels and tags and I was able to make 40 jars in one night. -
I'm still working on posting my for sale thread, but I have the following items: (13) Zipper pouches for keycard holders (with 2 black clip-on lanyards) $4 (13) Non-zipper pouches for keycard holders $2 (4) Hard plastic luggage tags with plastic loops $2 (8) 2oz. hand sanitizers $2 (5) Packs of tissue $2 Shipping would be extra...

This is all just peachy-keen - long wedding planning

We hate the Twilight movies (mostly the actors), but we're doing our first dance to that song too! That is the cutest video I've ever seen, even my FI was smiling like a little girl! :-) -
Aqua (turqoise) and Orange wedding ANYTHING.
acireta replied to dgdredge's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade or Freebies!
I will have 15 sheer turquoise table runners to sell at the end of April http://www.bbcrafts.com/wedding-supplies+XB33939-.html I might also have a 20ft. length of wide, shimmery turquoise burlap-ish runner fabric (using this for our candy buffet). -
I did something a bit similar, but within the country. I live in Chicago and went to Maryland for a weekend to go dress shopping. I had three appointments in two days (should have given myself at least two hours at each place). We also had a marathon mall shopping trip. We did find my dress, my bridesmaids dresses (David's Bridal) and my mom's dress (mall department store) all in one weekend. I think your budget is completely reasonable, but I'm sorry I can't give you any location suggestions, not knowing NY at all! :-( The only thing I'd worry about in your situation is getting it eventually shipped to you for final fittings. Make sure the salon that you order from is aware of your situation, and if they really want your business, they will make it work for you. Don't forget to work this additional shipping time into your timeline! Good luck with your trip!

Personalized beverage napkins?
acireta replied to beachbride0519's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
if you love it, go for it :-) I looked for some for a bit, but I wasn't in love with anything I found, so I held off. I'll just have to live vicariously through you LOL -
I just bought a fingerprint tree from Etsy for our AHR on Friday night. The seller was so sweet and got a proof to me on Saturday with a final file on Sunday morning. Love that she did it all on a weekend and I didn't have to wait for Monday! I'm going to have it printed at Kinkos. I already got the inkpads and pens from Hobby Lobby! Etsy seller: YourKeepsakeCo 18x24" tree with 4x6 instruction card

Personalized beverage napkins?
acireta replied to beachbride0519's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I say if it's something you've always wanted, and you might regret not getting them when you had the chance to, just do it! It's what, like $40/100 napkins? And they won't take that much room in your luggage. I say go for it if it's in your budget! -
I almost ordered that exact poster yesterday! FI wanted a regular tree so we went with something else but I love that one!
