Tracy thanks for the review! I did a site visit and loved Ceiba but thought it might be too quiet for my group. The hotels I ended up seeing on my site visit isn't the one that we ended up choosing which was Azul Beach. Thanks for the pics because since I haven't seen it it was nice to get a brides perspective. We are getting married 4/7/12 and don't think we will be going back down again to check out the hotel. I was a little skeptical but alot of people pick a hotel and hope for the best. =)

I like the long table. I think I am going to do to that for the rehearsal dinner. Everyone can chat and get to know each other I know this is an AS thread but what are you ladies doing for hair and makeup? I know there's a spa at AS but not sure of AB. My wedding coordinator said they are building one and should be done by the end of the year. What's are doing?

So Originally I wanted to do a purple and lime theme to the wedding. We went today to look at bm dresses and I along with my moh's love this bari jay dress. Except they don't make it in a bright purple which is what I wanted. The sample they tried on was in a peacock which is like a tealish color. Now I'm confused because we love the dress but none of the purples I didn't want too dark like eggplant it'd look to fall or something too light like a lavender. Thinking about changing colors. very confused.

I want to rent them but it's like $12 a chair. That's more than NY prices! I'll have to ask my wc in the states but I don't think you can negotiate with them. They say the same thing look at lomas website. I wish they are cheaper I'm not a fan on the chairs they have at Blue Terrace for Azul Beach. I hope you can negotiate. I haven't sent out invitations but I'll probably have about 50 people.

Is anyone renting the chivalry chairs for their reception? I'm getting married at Azul Beach and was looking on the lomas website. The price is a little much and wanted to know if anyone else got them and if you were able to negotiate with them. Thanks Maritza

Hi ladies! So this weekend I went into the Christmas Tree store in my neighborhood. I found great OOT totes for $1! They come in bright colors and nice patterns. Since my wedding is next year I still have no clue about how many people are coming I bought 50 of them just in case. I'll add a little label that says somethting about our wedding but it's nice that they can be able to use it again. I'll try to take a pic and post. Also they had cute wet bikini bags that I am putting in the bridesmaids gifts as well as little clutches in bright colors. Not fancy the kind of the fabric like a beach hat I know things like this are seasonal so rather get them early. Also they had starfish in different colors if anyone is doing that for place cards. I just wanted white ones but they have them in different colors. Thought they were cute and had to share. Maritza

Aww that's my fiancé's birthday. I saw on one of the boards you can check what time sunset is and we kind of based it on that. I wanted to take pics with the sun out and also with the sunset in the back as well. Where are you getting married? We're getting married at Azul Beach.

Khaki and green goes. I think the guys are doing grey suits with a green tie. The girls are going to have a bright purple. I didn't want to light and not too dark like an eggplant. Ive been researching bridesmaid dresses

Hopefully someone can answer this. Ive been wondering too. I know at times it can get very windy so I nixed tall centerpieces and my hair being down. I'm getting married 4/7/12. I think the weather is in the 80's. I did ceremony at 5pm sun doesn't go down I think til 7ish so hopefully it won't be too hot. When are you getting married? Maritza

Such cute stuff! I am actually going to wear the steve madden sandal too for The beach ceremony. I was thinking of using lanterns as well with flowers for the centerpieces. Are you bringing yours. And where did you get them. They're so cute!

Hi Kate, My Fsil is going to make my invitations and she uses a regular printer. She's a graphic designer so she knows how to make things look special. Especially if it's for her brother's wedding! She's been making invitations for a while now. Makes beautiful stuff. I know if she needs papers cut I believe she goes to a store and they cut it for her and they charge her per cut. But it's still cheaper than having them made. Depending on how elaborate you want them. There's a whole bunch of forums which tell you how to make invitations. See if you like any Maritza

How exciting on picking the dates ladies!! I booked 4/7/12 and didn't realize that the next day is Easter. No biggie. We can have an Easter egg hunt on the beach! Lol jk. I booked my date straight through the hotel so everyone will get their room through the travel agent, airfare doesn't come out until 10 months before so bookings will be done separate. If guests want to book through an agent they can. Can't wait!
