Samantha, We are the same as Manda as far as hotel and air goes, we are from Canada too so its the package deal. I was shocked at the price for dinner being AI, so what we decided to do because we have 82 booked is have a family/wedding party dinner at the a la carte, they will reserve up to 40 people, everyone else will do their own thing for dinner, ( I asked a few of my friends what they thought of that and said for sure since its very expensive to have a private dinner) and then have a private 4 hr cocktail party/reception from 7pm to 11 pm at La laguna, it is $5 pp for 2 hrs so $10 pp for our 4 hrs. We are usuing their sound system for music so there will be dancing. This is both of ours second marriage so we arent too concerned about the private dinner, been there done that!!!! Manda, Have a fantastic time, enjoy every moment of it!!

Hi Ladies, A couple questions for anyone who might know. We are having a reception and are using and IPod, was the sound quality of the sound system ok? Did the resort try and get everyones rooms close together that were guests for your wedding? Thanks

JND, were the prices Transat holidays quoted you with or without taxes? We are going with them too and got a group quote about a month ago and I thought it was quite high. Mandy, have you heard from them on booking dates yet? I have emailed but nothing yet and I just phoned but no one was in. Ok, I dont know all the lingo yet but what does TTD mean for the pictures?

Ellabaja, thanks for the clarifying that for me. My fiance and I discussed it last night and if we can I think we will have the ceremony, then pictures and let everyone do their own thing for dinner except the wedding party and family. Would like to see if we can have a reservation for the 18 of us at the ala carte. Then later in the evening do a private cocktail party and dance. I see it is only for 2 hours, do you know if we can pay extra to have it longer??

I am trying to clarify all the costs if someone can help me. We are having 60 to 80 people Base wedding package (max 8 people) plus any extras( flowers etc) $20 pp extra on the package $14 pp for cocktails and appys $60 pp for private dinner Does that sound right? Can we just do the buffett for dinner with that many people and have cocktails and appys and dancing after that in a private location???
