    our WC has said we can have a rehearsal at the spot (on the beach!) where our wedding will be the day before. We're going to do a quick runthrough and then head to the rehearsal/welcome dinner!

    Hi! We are not doing a private reception...just telling the group to meet at one of the hotel bars after the ceremony (while we take pictures) and then using the dinner reservation that is included in the complimentary package. Our ceremony is at 2pm and dinner isn't until 6:30....any suggestions on what to do in between? I'm debating whether to tell the group they can leave the impromptu "cocktail hour" at the bar whenever they want and just meet for dinner at 6:30. or should they stay the whole time?

    great idea! we are bringing one my FI's best friends to perform the ceremony....he's hysterical so i'm hoping for a funny and memorable ceremony!

    my FI and I are staying together the night of and he's leaving in the morning to go play a round of golf with the family and get dressed in his friend's room.

    No! My fiance's cousin did this at their wedding...it was cold outside and indoor wedding they did it with their wedding colors and it was actually pretty cool

    Ladies- sorry for all the consecutive posts- I haven't been on the site in awhile! I had a random question- I'm in the process of looking for ceremony shoes- if it says that the heel height is 4" and the platform is 1"...does that mean the total height is 4" or do you add the two numbers together? My dress has been hemmed to a 4.5" heel and I'm thoroughly confused as to which shoes would match that height! Thanks!

    this may seem like a silly question - but when a website tells you that the heel height is 4" and the platform is 1'...does that mean the 1" platform is part of the 4" heel or do you add the two together? My dress has been tailored to a 4.5" heel...so I'm trying to figure out which heels will work!

    these are SO nice! I love wearing heels but for some reason have never been able to wear pumps- my heel always comes out of the shoe as I'm walking. Does anyone else have this issue? I have always had to stick to shoes that secured my foot in some way.

    Yes! It's actually a dress I tried on the first time I went looking 6 months ago..but it was on sale this time and in my price range! VERY excited!

    Has anyone purchased "non traditional" wedding shoes? I'm curious about getting a colorful shoe to match my bridesmaid's dresses (kelly green from david's bridal) but I don't know if i want to get the dye-able satin ones.

    My hair is curly as well- but i have a short haircut (longer in the front, short in the back) so I'm unfortunately limited in the updo's I can pull off. Any ideas for short curly hair updo's? I'm getting married in Cancun 2/19/11 and as much as I like my hair down, I have a feeling it's not going to stay in place and will be blowing around everywhere on the beach! Not cute for pics!
