I just have to say I love my fellow BDW brides! So many of you sent me the flower brochure!! Thanks so much!!! As of right now, which we all know could just possibly change, it looks like I will be going with Bridal Bouquet 52! I'm requesting a few changes... I should end up with 6 pale pink roses with white dendrobium orchids, blue hydrangeas and dune grass. If I stick with this, I would then have my fiance's boutinerre be a white dendrobium orchid w/blue hydrangeas and dune grass. It would have all my wedding colors in it and I think it would definitely be more "bridal" than just the hydrangeas! Will keep everyone updated!! LOL

Okay Help my fellow GP Brides!! Who has a copy of the Flower Brochure?! I thought I was set on my choices, so I deleted it and now I'm upgrading my bouquet and would like to see options! I emailed my WC, but I was hoping to get this figured out over the weekend and we all know how their response time works! Thank you!!!

Men's Linen Suits?
BeachBridein11 replied to rae12vb's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
JCPenney's!! Always some sale going on! We paid less than $100! -
We actually agreed to not give gifts, but that was to just make sure he didn't buy me anything. :)The e-ring is perfect enough!!! My gifts on the otherhand... I did a bd shoot and will be giving him an album (MoH will give it to him the afternoon of the wedding) and I also purchased a package for him to go to NASCAR driving school where he will drive an actual race car around MIS for 20 laps! He will just die when he gets that! It's been so hard not telling him!!!! Now I just need to figure out when to give it to him. I'm thinking either at our Bridal Party BBQ (2 weeks prior to us leaving and when we will hand out our bridal party gifts) or at our Welcome Dinner (night before wedding). Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!

April 2012 at GPLH in JAmaica?
BeachBridein11 replied to canadiangirl's topic in Destination Weddings in Jamaica
There's actually 2 new threads for Grand Palladium Jamaica and Lady Hamilton with lots of information. Both have the resorts name in the title, one has "2011" in the title and the other has "fees" in the title. -
Too funny!!! I have my 2nd dress fitting tomorrow, so I will try to post pictures afterwards. My dress is ivory and pretty much looks white to me. LOL I don't think you have to worry about it looking dirty! Just go with which looks better on you. Ivory brought out my skin tones, whereas white was just too much. And yes, I definitely think you are over thinking it!!!!!! LOL We were able to find the dresses at Macy's. We did find an amazing flowy dress at a bridal salon for them, but decided to save them $100. As far as I know, it should look exactly like the pictures unless you want to upgrade. They asked if I wanted to upgrade or add anything to my package and I declined (I'm bringing my own flowers). Well I did change 1 item, I had them "upgrade" my fiance's boutinerre to a hydrangea to match my bouquet. I will be able to let you know in less than a month! Well technically over a month since I won't be back till end of June. Beach ceremony at 4p, Blue Lagoon reception at 6p. Can't wait!

Taking extra decor to the resort.
BeachBridein11 replied to ShellyCarter's topic in Jamaica Accommodations & Site
Hi Shelly! I must have missed this part when I read your thread the first time... I'm taking down Preserved Orchids (white with pink accents) to scatter around the tables and also having them place one on each plate with the seashell. -
Too funny!!! San Patrick Eresma IS my dress!!!! LOL You must be my wedding twin! LOL Colors... Blue and green are our favorite colors, so that was a no brainer. Since we're doing a tropical wedding, I wanted to use the "bright" version of them. The light rose pink was chosen as the accent due to the bridesmaid dresses. I didn't want them to spend a lot of money (they were already spending enough), so when we found a dress that looked good on both and that they liked as well, we went with it. Only $50! Plus it compliments the main colors really well. When the new packages came out, it's like they asked me what I wanted and Waves of Love was exactly that! So again, it was a no brainer for me! Good Luck!

I plan to create a planning thread within the next week or so. I've been meaning to for the longest time, but I've just been so busy!!! I need to take some pictures as well. Here's hoping I get to it shortly! LOL My wedding colors are turqoise, bright green and soft pink. The blue Waves of Love will go nicely with everything! So excited! I'm using the green and pink as accents. I can't wait to see everything tie together! I'm sticking with the included bouquet (hydrangeas), but I am "upgrading" my fiance boutinnerre to a hydrangea as well. The rest of the flowers, bridesmaid, corsages and boutinerres, I am bringing from home. Real Touch flowers. The look fantastic and feel so real!! Highly recommend! My dress is ivory, mermaid style with flowy layers at the bottom. I love it!!! Don't worry, you WILL find the dress!!

Hi and Welcome Canadiangirl! I have a question... have you already put a deposit down on your photographer? If not, please search the forum for digitalmemories and read the reviews. I'm unsure how important pictures are to you, but if they are... cheaper is not always the way to go. I just wanted to give you a heads up from an experience of another bride. I too am a Waves of Love Bride! 35 days for me!! Yea!!! You asked hd about adding color to the wedding cake. You can always add flowers. I would send your assigned WC that question. Congrats and Happy Planning! The reason I ask, is that my FI and I found a lady who is in Jamaica and she has great photo's and is cheeper for what you get than the resort. do you know....can you add things to the wedding cake? my FI wants more color lol (and Im the girl lol) lets keep in touch and maybe we can share info and ideas....hope your wedding is beautiful

Custom Linen Suits $99!
BeachBridein11 replied to FoxyBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Be careful with the pre-set sizes as well! That's what we ordered and they still came in tight! They were all measured beforehand at a tuxedo place as well. 1 even ordered a size up and still didn't fit! Beware! -
Custom Linen Suits $99!
BeachBridein11 replied to FoxyBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Just wanted to let everyone know that I was finally able to get a refund!! Though it wasn't a complete refund... Took about a month of emails going back and forth, but they finally allowed me to return them. Technically I only received 70% refund since they wouldn't refund my shipping (there and back) and charged me a stocking fee. Oh well. My advice, definitely search locally and US companies first!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, if you ever have to ship anything back, USPS (United States Postal Service) is definitely the way to go! Took less than a week and was a quarter of the cost compared to UPS, Fedex and DHL!
