Suggestions on Make up artist in Jamaica?
BeachBridein11 replied to Tina5978's topic in Jamaica Wedding Vendors
She did my hair, my two bridesmaids, and my mother's. All looked fantastic and held up the entire evening! Definitely recommend! Also, very good idea to bring along a pic of what you would like your hair to look like. -
Changes for brides at Grand Palladium Jamaica

If you do go this route, definitely get mugs with Lids!! Also, you might want to pay attention to the type of lid. You want to make sure a straw will work with it. Good Luck! Below is a link to the mugs we ordered... http://www.discountmugs.com/nc/travel-mugs/66/16oz-stainless-steel-insulated-travel-mugs.htm Quote: Originally Posted by BeachBridein11 Anyway, I did think of one tip for all GP brides.... We had ours personalized with our logo and they turned out great! -

FYI the white pergola is a set structure on the beach. All beach ceremonies will take place with the pergola. -

I highly recommend this resort!! To check out the packages and pictures go to their wedding website: www.palladiumweddings.com Happy Planning! -
I haven't received my pictures yet, but it was amazing working with RS and AG from WPAJ (wpajamaica.com), they are associates of Sun Gold Photography. They both had an amazing eye for location backdrops! We would be walking and all of a sudden then would tell us to stop and off they would shoot because the way colors were together or the way a tree bent or how the waves crashed. I can't wait to see the pictures! Quick word of advice about Digital Memories.... I really hope Leigh (canadiangirl) doesn't have this happen to her, but there are some bad reviews of them on the site. Just be careful and make sure whoever you choose, that their style is what you're looking for! If pictures are important, than spend the money.

Tai Flora is the official flower shop for GP, so no vendor fee and no problems. Highly suggest working with them because they will give you a better price compared to what GP will quote you. I worked with Sandy Shippey ([email protected]) from Tai Flora and she was wonderful and quick to respond. On if they will move your ceremony flowers to the restaurant... I'm pretty sure they will, but that's definitely a question for your WC. I know they would have if you had a private reception, but unsure what they allow at the restaurants. Wow your wedding is soon approaching...How exciting!!!! Welcome and Congrats!!! There are plenty of April 2012 GP Brides here, you will probably all pass each other at the resort! Onto your questions... Wedding Packages: The Sapphire Package is one of their old packages that they kept around. If you browse through older pictures, most likely that's what they did. Just pick the package that speaks most to you and your fiance. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them! Have you chosen your colors yet? That might help narrow them down as well. Restaurant Reception: There were many weddings that took place while I was there, but we were the only couple to have a private reception. We saw many brides and their parties at the Infinity Bar afterwards and many had their first dance with the live band that was playing. Poseidon would be a nice private pick, but it's outdoors with no A/C. The Italian (very tasty!!) and the Indian restaurant are both outside as well. The Asian, Steakhouse, Mexican, and Creole restaurant are all inside with AC. The only indoor restaurant we went to was the Steakhouse, very tasty and appeared to have a private area in the back. My guests went to all the restaurants and said all the food was delicious! Wedding Coordinator: Nekeisha was my WC and she was fabulous! No worries, she knows what she's doing! Happy Planning!!! And oh! No need to be nervous, everything will turn out beautifully perfect!!!! LOL -

Well my post isn't fake! LOL I adored her and the hair stylist! I still recommend!! -
Just doing my part and helping fellow brides! I hope I can help any and all of you! Steel Drum Band: We provided them a list for the ceremony, but other than that we told them to play whatever they would like before and after the ceremony. To be honest with you, I can't really recall what they played. LOL Just asked the husband and he said the same thing. LOL We did get good reviews from the guest, so that's good, right? If there is a certain style of music you want them to play, ask your WC. She was the one to confirm all the songs we requested. DJ: There is a 5-7 page worksheet you will fill out for the DJ. Order of the ceremony, must play list, do not play list, entrance songs, first dance, etc. They had all songs we requested; even played plenty of country songs! LOL Order of Ceremony: They have their standard order, but I provided my own which really wasn't too off the norm. Mine was suppose to be Vows, Rings, Sand Ceremony, Commitment of Family & Friends, Pronoucement of Marriage, Kiss.... yup he threw in the pronoucement of marriage and the kiss after the vows and rings. Little confusing, but it all worked out well. LOL The officiant even have the program with him, so I have no idea how he screwed it up! LOL No big deal. Like I always say, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff! But anyway I HIGHLY recommend the sand ceremony and a reading to prolong the ceremony!!

I probably started communicating 7-8 months out, but that was to make sure we got our main items... Ceremony Location, Ceremony Time, Reception Location and Entertainment (Steel Band, DJ, Zurielamaka, etc.). All the rest can wait 2-4 months prior, depending how detailed you want to get. But hey! If you want to get in touch now, get in touch!

I didn't think it was a long drive at all. It was neat driving through the city of Montego Bay. I would say it was only 30 minutes, but it definitely went by quickly. Are you planning on renting a car? I wouldn't really recommend that... The shuttle/bus drivers really know what they are doing!
