    Okay, so you definitely need to do the private reception. If you were going to have a small wedding, I was going to say you could have dinner at one of the restaurants and avoid the $45/pp fee. Nevermind though!

    I haven't decided on it completely yet 'cause I still need to contact the salon/spa at my resort, but my MOH and I are going to head to a MAC counter and most likely buy the makeup there and having them show us just in case the artist at the resort doesnt achieve the look we want. That and the fact I don't know what makeup they use and I need staying power!! Especially for the TTD session!

    My favorite on TA was someone who ranted on and on about how awful his trip was because he never had a washcloth for 5 days!!! Are you kidding me?!!? LOL I don't even use washclothes, but how the heck would that ruin your trip?!? Gotta love it!

    If you do go to Trip Advisor please remember to take the "bad" comments with a grain of salt!!! I honestly don't go to that website anymore because there is no monitoring. I read somewhere that competing hotels go on the site and write bad reviews for other hotels and then write an amazing review for theirs. Not honest at all! Though its a good resource for the reasons schmizer listed!

    Oh!!! LOL Here's my tip on flights... according to studies LOL they say the cheapest flights are offered on Tuesdays at 3p. LOL Hasn't worked for me yet, but will definitely be trying it today!

    Welcome Donie Jordan!!! We haven't purchase our flights yet. Our TA advised us to wait till the New Year... so now I'm just waiting for the rates to drop. Hopefully it does!!!!

    I'm sorry you didn't know about the extra fees beforehand. If you're no longer considering GP, I'm sure they could be other resorts with your date available for the wedding. Good luck! BTW, what vendors were you looking to use from the outside? I'm using an outside photographer, and in order to bypass the fee... the photographers are actually booking a room for the night. They're actually paying for the room, so no added expense to me.

    I was wondering the same thing, but didn't want to risk it. I just requested a certified copy from the state (Michigan). It cost us $26 per copy unfortunately and took about 3 weeks.

    I completely agree with schmizer. The bags are something unexpected and will definitely make them feel more welcome! If you decide not to do them, no worries! Like I said, they're not expected. If you want to save money or use it on something else, go ahead!! It's your wedding!

    OMG I can't believe you already have so much done after getting engage on Christmas Eve!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!! I've been engaged since July and still haven't settled on bridesmaid gowns! LOL

    Congrats!!!!! I'm currently going through destinationweddings.com for my travel arrangements! No complaints so far! You should be able to contact the wedding coordinator directly if that's what you prefer to do. Their website should have an email address. Again, congrats and happy planning!

    Congrats!!!!!! I know Obama approved travel to Cuba, but I think it was only for journalist. It's true Americans can get to Cuba from Canada, but if caught, there are hefty fines! I think you should have your adopted Dad walk you down the aisle. It's your wedding!!! Your bio family should just be happy for you and not worry about who's walking you down! Are you looking for an orange wedding gown or bridesmaid gown?!
