Just booked Couples Swept Away for after our wedding. Wedding July 13th at Iberostar Rose Hall Suite, Couples Swept Away on July 17th- 21st. Does anyone know if Couples will providde transportation from another hotel?

I have heard the resort photogrpaher gets bad reviews so we are bringing our own. Does anyone have reviews for the videographer? We would like to have a video but don't want to pay a huge amount for it since we are paying a lot to bring our photographer. Also, do they give a room for the groom or bride to get ready in? How have past brides done this? Thanks!

Does anyone know if it's possible to do a slide show during our reception or rehearsal dinner? Do they have equipment for this?

I'm not 100% sure but I have read that you can use the facilities at the beach if you are in a higher category. I would say that includes the restaurants.

I don't know if you are trying to get group rates with your TA or not. My guests can only get the group rates if they stay at the Suites where the wedding is. We do have a couple of guests wanting to stay at the grand but they will have to get regular rates.

I know how you feel Islandgirl. I am in the same situation. Many of our family think it's too expensive and my fiance feels the same way yours does. I eventually ahd to get my head around the fact that our immediate friends and family will be there no matter what and that is what realy matters. We decided we really wanted a nice wedding, and that you only do it once. I really think I'd feel worse if we went to a cheaper resort and people were complaining about this or that, food, service etc. At least the people that decide to go will be happy and have a great vacation! We just have to hope that some of the hesitant guests will jump on board once the others have booked and they see how nice the resort is. I am flying from Canada so it is quite pricey as well. Don't let others get you down, it's your day and you'll want it to be extra special! I was just looking at their booking form. It asks for credit card for payment. Does anyone know how much you pay at the time of booking? It seems strange to pay in full at the time of booking in the case that something happens (travel interruptions, photographers don't show up etc).

How early did everyone make their location choices? I am 6 months away. Did you wait until you got there, decide 2 months before or earlier? I cannot decide between the beach and terrace locations for a ceremony. I love the natural look of the beach but then like the privacy of the terrace and that it's less windy. Has anyone seen weddings in both locations and can give a comparison? Thanks!
