Yeah, I can handle leaving some things to chance but we would really like to know how to budget as well. I am also worried about booking bands etc, and whether they'll be available at that late of a date.

Did you just contact Tai Floral on your own without speaking with the WC at the hotel?

We should all be complaining to management about having our emails ignored. I think it's ridiculous considering what we are paying to have our weddings here. I can't even get an answer about whether they can provide gluten free meals.

I am also bringing someone to sing at our ceremony and would like to hear past experiences with this. We may do the terrace for this reason.

I agree. I think it's best to use the real dress. How bad can the water ruin it? You aren't going to wear it again and I bet it would make better pictures. However, my photographer is leaving (we are bringing her) early the next morning so we won't be able to do that. I am thinking I still want to do it before the wedding, but if so, I'll have to get another dress and something totally different because I don't want my fiance to see what I'll look like before the wedding day. Do you think it would be weird to do it before the wedding day?

We're considering one online through Island Importers but I'm worred about the quality.

So they are letting you pay the extra to have a private reception even though you only have 30? I am really hoping they'll allow us to do that as well. We really, really want a private reception, I'll be pretty upset if we can't have it.

Wow! The pics are amazing! It looks like you had a wonderful wedding. I do have a couple of questions for you. It looks like you brought your own fabric for the huppah. I also want to do this, how much did you bring? It also looks like they moved them inside afterwards for you? How many people did you have at your wedding? It looks like you had a private reception. Where did you go to take your trash the dress? Where did you get the robes for your bridesmaids? I loved them! Did you have your make up done by the hotel as well? It looks like your hair turned out great. Congratulations, you have made me so excited!!!

I've been looking for the turquoise ones as well but can't find them anywhere in my size. All I can find are larger sizes.

How are the hair and make-up artists at the hotel? Do the grand and the suites use the same salon? If not, is one salon better than the other? Does anyone have pictures of hair/make-up that has been done there?

So I am assuming you cannot have a microphone for toasts etc if you don't rent out the restaurant? Also, do you know if it's possible to have a slide show?

Yes, Jamaica is all my fiance and I can think about too and we're still 5 months away! You're not alone!
