The terrace was my first choice too because of the privacy. The ceremony would be more intimate without onlookers I think. However, I ended up booking a private location through Tropical Weddings Jamaica.

No, I am not doing the firedancer. I have some musicians in my family so I am hoping for more of a, sit around the fire with the guitars idea. Also, I am pretty sure they have fire dancers on the night of the beach party. My guests will have already seen the fire dancers so I don't see the point in paying for them to see this again. It does not cost anything to book your guests in for a rehearsal dinner so I was planning to go that way and have it at Aunt Ruby's which is overlooking the beach. This way the transition would flow better. The appetizer idea sounds good too though!

For receipts, are these receipts for things you are buying while down there? Or things you are bringing with you?

HI Paula, I am planning to have a bonfire on the beach. It's $250/hour and that does not include bar. You have to pay a per/person price for the bar on top of that. I am planning to do this for 2hours following the rehearsal dinner.

I have the final details list from Nicole and one section asks how many vegetarian/ gluten free meals required. So, they are able to accomodate.

Just wondering why nobody is using the resort for hair and makeup on here. I have been reading through and seeing that a lot of people are using outside vendors but I have not found any negative comments about the salon there. Do all three resorts share the same salon? If so, does anyone know if the salon has a website? Does anyone have a review of the salon? I can't decide what to do. I am wondering if I should just do a make up lesson here before I go.

Are either of you in Canada? I checked with my TA and she said rates had not dropped.

I am very surprised to find out we can only dance/party until 10:30. I wish I had seen this before I booked this place... a lot of my family will not like the disco but love to dance and they were looking forward to this part of the wedding. I guess it is, what it is at this point. Is your dj just packing up and moving outside then after the restaurant? Will you have to give him take down/ set up time? I had also planned to do the dancefloor on the beach but I dont know if it's worth it for just an hour or two.

A few more answers from Nicole: If we paid extra would it be possible to still have the PRIVATE dinner at the steakhouse even though we have only 30 people? Unfortunately no what we can offer is a semi private for $400.00usd,please keep in mind that you won’t be able to have live music because other guest will be dinning on the other side of the terrace . Here are some answers I finally got from Nicole. I have just emailed her with more questions that I hope she answers. 1. Do you have a large selection of gluten free food? (bride is celiac) What normally do is to advised the chef and he will try to prepare some that is gluten free or if you would like to bring some food items like something that you like to eat on a daily basis that the hotel might not provide with you that would be fine . 2. Cake- Is there a possiblity that we could have a gluten free layer on the cake? I (the bride) have celiac disease and therefore cannot have anything with gluten. If needed, I could bring a gluten free cake mix from home that could be provided for the chefs. Also, do your restaurants have gluten free options? Yes you can bring a gluten free cake mix with you .we will advised that chef of your request and he will see what can be done or if she has anything in mind just let us know and we will advised the chef. 3. Dinner- I know your list does not provide a beach option for the reception but I have read that some other brides have done this. Is this a possibility? It seems that the Mediterranean restaurant is our only option for a private dinner and we really, really wanted something outside. Have you ever done a dinner on the lobby terrace or by the pool? I expect to have about 30 people. We are willing to pay for extra seats or whatever we have to do to have the private reception. It is one of the reasons we chose your resort and expected many more guests to be coming. Now we are very, very upset that we cannot have a private reception the way we want. Is it possible if we paid the extra that we could have it at Aunt Ruby's what you can do is have dinner at the Mediterranean or Steakhouse and then have a cocktail party after the dinner outside on the beach or on the lazy river island that we have . We don’t do dinner on the beach only cocktails. 4. Hair/Make- Up. Do the hair and make-up prices include a trial run? If not, how much would this cost? The hair and makeup don’t include trial .Trial make up $50.0uds ,hair up do $ 70.00uds 5. Do you offer steaming/pressing of the wedding dress? Yes we do 6. Excursions- Do you have a particular group you recommend for booking excursions (catamarans/deep sea fishing)?
