Me too... We really want to get married in Mexico but have so many guests saying that they refuse to travel to Mexico. There are so many great resorts there that really make your day exactly what you want it to be. We are now searching through Jamaica resorts. We really wanted a beach reception and a fairly private ceremony. If this resort does not do this, does anyone know one that might?

Is this resort able to do a beach reception?

The food was excellent! The Italian Restaurant is the best and surprisingly the English Pub because they share the same kitchen. Hi, I just wanted to say that I have stayed at Sandal's Antigua before and it was amazing!! The beach is wonderful. You will love it there. It will be a great spot for a wedding. The older Caribbean Grove side is so lush, with so many tropical flowers while the new side has a different feel. Both sides of the resort are nice and you will have lots of beautiful pictures because of this!

We're now thinking of Azul Fives. We are waiting on some pricing. We did get back one quote but we weren't happy with the dates we'd have to fly on so we are waiting to hear from some other tour operators. The beach also looks nice there. Have you heard anything about this one? I really like Sensatori but my fiance is not really going for it because of the beach.

Maroma does just have the one pub. However, their nightly shows are over by about 10 and then the bar is pretty much yours. The staff are so accomodating and will play music, let you dance etc. My fiance and I went last summer for a vacation here, we went up to the pub and met up with some other couples from the resort and always had fun. When they closed at night, the bartender would give us some tequila and wine to take down to the pool area so that we could still sit out and socialize. It really feels like home here. Maroma is just amazing!!

We are looking at Azul Fives or Sensatori in Mexico...also slightly considering Hilton Rose Hall in Jamaica. We are really worried about the beach/water at Sensatori. Quotes are starting to come back now but we have family flying out of many places throughout Canada so it's hard to find something that works for everyone.

I did check Trip Advisor and it's officially open now. It looks beauthiful! This is a possiblity for sure. It sure would be nice to see some wedding reviews though!

I cannot find any recent information on this resort. Has anyone stayed here or been married here recently? There are a few recent reviews on Trip Advisor that make it sound great. We are considering this location but I am very worried about the fact that I cannot find any information on this place.

I just received the requirements for a wedding in Mexico from my TA. It said that the blood work had to be done 15 days prior to the wedding. Does anyone know if this is true? I cannot imagine that everyone on here is going to Mexico two weeks before the wedding to have this done?? We really, really want to have a real ceremony while there so I hope this is not true.

We have decided to get married this July 2011. Did it take a long time to confirm hotels etc.? We have narrowed it down to a few... Azul Sensatori, Azul Beach hotel and Zoetry (but Zoetry may be too expensive). Is using a travel agent the best way to go? I have contacted one but it's taking a while to hear back etc. We are also thinking about Dreams but it looks like the ceremony locations are not private? Can anyone confirm this? Also, has anyone got married at Dreams and had a ceremony location other then the beach or gazebo? I like the different ceremony options at the Karisma hotels. Also, can someone tell me which Dreams resort has the best beach for swimming? Thanks in advance for your help.

We will be coming from Northern Canada so I think my guests will really be wanting a beach! Otherwise this would be something I would be looking into. LOVE IT!

How far from Playa Del Carmen is this place? Can you have a wedding ceremony here without staying at the hotel? This looks like my dream wedding location!!

Hi, We are also thinking about Azul Sensatori but we are worried about the beach. Do you know what the beach is like at Azul beach hotel? Also, which type of ceremony did you choose? Do you know if going to Maroma to use the chapel is an option and then come back to the sensatori for the reception? Do they do beach receptions at Sensatori? We stayed at Maroma in the spring and saw a wedding in the chapel then reception on the beach.... it was so beautiful. However we will have kids coming to the wedding so Maroma will not work for us as a place to use for the entire event. How far in advance did you need to book the resort? Thanks!

Are the reviews on Trip Advisor true when they say there is a fly problem at this resort??

What is the difference between going through a TA and a GI consultant. Should I contact both? If so, which one do you contact first to inquire about dates etc. I am just starting and have no idea where to begin!

Is it windier on the sky deck? Many photos on the website look like there's lots of wind.

Does anyone know which Month has better weather in this area...July or August? Can anyone suggest a good destination wedding TA in Alberta?

Are you also staying at Maroma or another place? Will your guests use facilities at Maroma Marina then? Is the reception food still provided by El Dorado or by Maroma Marina? Thanks!
