  1. There are GREAT dresses on sale on beyond the rack right now by 4now fashions. Here are a couple that I liked... They have quite a few colour options as well. Sale lasts for 2 days so if you areinterested, get 'em now! I think I'm going to get the white one to change into for the reception. BTR works like Ideeli for those of you who aren't familiar. You can use my invitation if you'd like: http://www.beyondtherack.com/member/invite/B5859C24
  2. If any of you ladies are looking for BM dresses still OR a reception dress possibly check out the sale on BTR today by 4 now fashions! I'm thinking about this possibly one of these for the reception.... hmm.. not sure why they are so small! Anyway, they are on sale for 75 and 65 respectively. There are lots of possibilities for BM dresses too and reasonable prices! Sale is on for 2 more days. If you aren't part of BTR you can get there by following this invite: http://www.beyondtherack.com/member/invite/B5859C24
  3. So sorry to hear this, Tori! How disappointing.... We all know how hard you worked on getting your bags together for your guests. Maybe these friends of your parents will have a great appreciation for all that you are doing for this wedding! I think some people think that little to no planning goes into DW. A lot of people I;ve talked to think that it means it's free for us to have all these guests, which we all know is untrue! They will just know how much you care and how hard you've worked to make your wedding special. Hang in there
  4. Ladies who bought from Amols... were you able to order specific colours? I was looking at the assorted ones but ideally would only want certain colours. Thanks!
  5. LOL! Drea's such a show off!! I'm starting to feel bad for Bobby. I feel like Tony is always putting him down... LOL. I think once you go through the first phase you start to notice all these little interactions. The first time through you focus on learning how to do all the moves properly, now I am just listening and watching. Maybe it's time to listen to my own music instead of Tony!
  6. Ladies! This may be out of left field, but I'm curious to hear what you guys are doing. I was at my fam doctor yesterday for the dreaded physical and she recommended that I get some vaccinations before heading to Mexico. Are you girls getting them?
  7. Since so many of us are doing p90x, come on over to the "official p90x support group" thread! There are a few ladies going through the process too
  8. Ladies looking for shells.... I was in bouclair home yesterday and they marked their bags of shells down 50%... so $3.99 a bag. Not sure if that is a great deal or not, since I haven't been looking for shells, but thought I;d pass along
  9. Congrats Luvmoo! That is such an amazing accomplishment! You must feel so great. Congrats to the rest of you who are working hard too! It sounds like most of us are trying to get into the best shape of our lives for our weddings. If I was getting married at home, I def wouldn't be putting such a stress on this, but since I'll be sporting a bathing suit for a week, that changes things!
  10. Hi Kathie, Just curious - I'm debating the pocket square + bout look. What are you doing for bouts?
  11. We are doing gray suits! Just picked them out yesterday at Moores. Got a great deal! As I mentioned before, if you bring in something to donate, you get a 50% off coupon. SO, here is a breakdown of what things cost: Suit 100 thread count. Nice and lightweight for the beach. Geoffrey Bean. Reg $449. White shirt. Can't remember the make. Reg $80 Tie. Sean Jean. Reg $50. Pocketsquare. Reg $20. We are thinking about just doing a tie for my FI and pocket squares, no tie for the GMs Taxes in, just over $300! We got 5 suits for just over $1500, that's over $1500 in savings!
  12. Do it for sure! It is a big time commitment, but if you were planning on working out anyway, it is really effective. It's not so much a "weight loss" program as it a program for people who are in reasonably good shape who want to get in great shape. If you've lost 50 pounds and only have a few more to go, it will be great! I haven't lost much weight at all because I've gained some muscle... I'm about half way done my first 90 days and i've lost 5 pounds, tops. I don't have a ton of weigh to lose, just want to get toned so I look better in a bikini I love it though; I definitely feel stronger. Check out the beachbody.com website and you can read lots of peoples reviews and see a ton of before and after shots.
  13. Great find! Was this at a Dollarama? Where are you in Canada? I would love to pick these up.... As for the shout wipes, they don't carry them in Canada as far as I know. Most of these girls bought them in the states. You could find them from websites like minimus.biz or ebay. Not sure about the bug wipes!
  14. These looks great! Is the white container with the label your first aid kit?
  15. This is amazing! I can';t imagine how long it took you to make this. Thanks so much for posting. We have a couple of kids coming along and I'm going to use yours as a template for mine
  16. What about sunglasses? We are giving sunglasses to the guys and pashminas to the girls.
  17. These guys look great! I can't believe you got all of that for the price you paid. Well done!!
  18. @ Tori, if you are still considering buying convertible dresses instead of making them, you need to sign up for beyond the rack. I originally bought the victoria secret convertible dresses and personally liked it, but my little sister (who isn't that little at 5'10") found it a little too short. I;ve been a member of beyond the rack since the end of June and the "original" convertible dress company, Ravon, has had them for sale at least twice since then. Not sure if you know how BTR works, but different sales start daily at 11 and last 1-3 days. They make the dress in a ton of colours. I think they had navy. I know they had a different shade of blue from the colour I ordered - cobalt. Shipping is from Montreal and is cheap, around 15 bucks I think. I got the dresses for $59 each. I was sent an invite to join BTR but you may be able to google it and join. If not, PM me and I will send you an invite.
  19. Addy for pasminas in NYC : 24 West 27th Street, between Broadway and 6th Ave
  20. Everything looks great Tori! Thanks for checking those pants out for me, and thanks to the rest of you ladies for giving the the Old Navy pants the thumbs up too! I signed for their mailing list and got a $10 credit, so these pants are actually only costing $5.99. Can't be that! My FI and I had a nightmare shopping trip today... Why are boys the worst shoppers ever!? He doesn't want to buy anything new for our trip and it's driving me crazy! He wouldn't try on any of the pants that I got for him because he says he has enough khakis. I'm just going to buy these and he will have to suck it up. LOL!
  21. Wow that pic is really small! LOL! Try googling Ralph Lauren Percy wedge!
  22. Liz if you are looking for silver wedges that aren't straw I picked up these silver Ralph Lauren wedges today to wear to our rehearsal dinner. My dress is silver, and these look great with it. I bought them at a department store here in Ottawa, but I did a quick search online and found them for sale on Amazon. I got a good deal too; reg price 125, I got them for 50
  23. Your invites look great Your guests will love them! We sent our formal invites out a week and a half ago and are starting to get our RSVPs back. We thought we had a good idea about who was coming, but we have had a few random surprise "Yays" that we weren't expecting (FI's long lost step cousins that I have never met... WTF?!) Getting the RSVPs back was more exciting that I thought
  24. Welcome to the thread and congrats! 140! That's huge! Is that the number of people you are inviting or the number of people who have expressed interest in going? My FI decided to send a STD and formal invitation to everyone who we would invite if we were doing one here at home, so that ended up being a little over 200 people. Are RSVPs deadline is at the end of September. We are expecting 50 or so people. I'm sure you read this when you were reading through the posts, but after 40 people you need to pay for a private reception which is approx $60/person. Rocio hasn't requested our final numbers yet; I believe taht you can just let her know when you know. For some reason I think that there is a seating limit at the gazebos, so if you have that many people you might be restricted in terms of where you can hold your ceremony. Have you checked out the Palladium website? They have a wedding info packet you can download that has a lot of this information which will help you plan and budget. Good luck! Looking forward to planning with you
  25. Did your Old Navy pants come in yet? I tried to find them in the store and there were none left, but I will order them online if you think they are decent. They are on sale for around $15... Looking to pick some up so FI has them for dinner down there..
