Hey girls, I'm going to send out my invites in July and I can't decide what date to put as the deadline. Everyone received STDs in February and 40 (or so) people have put down their deposits, but the balance is due for the group rate in October. Should I put my RSVP deadline as the date the balance is due? Technically, I don't need to know if they are coming until shortly before the wedding, and people can book outside of our group rate. What did you guys do? Thanks!

Is it weird that I don't remember the colour of my dress!? I haven't seen it since March... It was definitely not pure white though. I tan well but I'm also blonde, so I wanted to stay away from anything too white. Great question about the outlets. I hadn't even thought of that! When are you getting married, cpezuk?

Good luck with quitting smoking, Liz! It sounds like you are super busy, but I'm sure you will be able to stick with it! I hear what you are saying about the shoes. When does your dress come in? If it is at the end of summer, you might be able to find shoes on sale. My dress should be in within the next month or so, but I want to get shoes in the same shade as my bridesmaid dresses, so if I see those anywhere I am going to have to snatch them right away! I imagine cobalt blue shoes are pretty rare! What are you doing for your wedding workout and diet? School's almost out (I'm a teacher), and I'm going to start P90x at the beginning of the summer. Next wedding projects: OOT bags and getting my invites out! A girlfriend of mine is a graphic designer and she's designing our passport invites. Can't wait! These are great! Thanks for the heads up! I just ordered 5 dozen. First, I did a google search for oriental trading promo codes and found a code that gave $10 off and free shipping (for US orders). For other Canadian girls just a heads up - shipping and HST is pretty expensive. I ended up paying $145 for 60 bags, which is still pretty good, IMO.

I did a test run with the one dress that I ordered, using a video tutorial I found on youtube. It was really easy. I think if I was wearing the dress i'd wear it like the picture below. But I will leave my BMs to decide how they'd like to wear it. These dresses are 59.99 right now... Amazing! I know everyone says this, but I think they really could wear it again, too

I just received the shorter version of this dress from VS in cobalt blue. I wanted to order one first to check out the length and quality before ordering the rest for my girls. I think it's great! As soon as I tried it on I ordered the rest for my bridal party. I highly recommend it. The fabric is actually quite nice and it's the type that doesn't really wrinkle so it will be great for travelling. Another bonus - got the dresses on clearance for 59.99. The last I checked they still had quite a few colours left. Check 'em out!

Congrats on getting your date, JND! I'm glad it worked out! For gifts, I'm planning on buying my girl's their dresses. I've already them from Victoria's Secret - the convertible dress. Not sure what we are going to do for the guys. If it is too expensive to buy their suits, my FI wants to pay for an excursion, like Scuba diving or something.

I know lots of girls who have had alterations done elsewhere and they've been quite happy with the results, so I don't think thats strange. I do think the cash only thing is strange. It must be under the table? I think you should go somewhere else!

Thanks for the tips. Now how am I supposed to decide..LOL We aren't having an AHR, so I see that side now too. I think we are going to go overbudget on photography a little so I',m gonna have to make a cut somewhere - or pay a little after the wedding, something we said we weren't gonna do. So what's a girl to do? Flip a coin?!

JND, Just emailed you the forms you need to fill out and email back to Rocio. I printed them out, scanned, and emailed back. Rocio got back to me the next day to say that everything was being sent to the financial department and she would email me back once that was confirmed. I couldn't find anything on the website either so my TA got Rocio to email her the forms. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Ella! I just received the email with the forms. Which package did you ladies go with? I am thinking the diamond so that I can have the "upgraded" flowers and dress steaming. It 300 more. Do you think its worth it?

Hi JND, Rocio emailed me on Monday to confirm the date then said that I needed to now send in my deposit. It's 300 (US). She sent the forms to my travel agent. I need to fill it out then email or fax it to her. If you want, PM me your email and I will forward it to you.

Hi Ladies! Officially booked - January 5th at the Grand Palladium! Such a sigh of relief... I had that date on the STDs I sent out and on our wedding website. Have any of you booked photographers yet? I think this is the next thing to work on now!

Finally got my date "penciled" in. Rocio says I need to send the deposit now and the information is online... I can't find instructions for paying the deposit anywhere online. Can any of you former brides clue me in?!
