  1. Very nice! The colors in your photo's and the card blends really well!
  2. I love this review! And your photo's are absolutely gorgeous!! I really love your makeup too!
  3. I'm not doing a videographer, only because I think the price for The Royal's videographer is to expensive. $500 for 1 hour. I asked how much it would be just for the ceremony and was quoted $299 for 20 minutes. I think that's just toooooo much. And I don't think it's worth it to pay $350 outside vendor fee plus pay a videographer too... My photography will be good enough for us.
  4. Cute! I think maybe I'll try to do this, although, I'm not very creative! lol
  5. I think that you could mention that you might have something casual, but right now you're focusing on planning your DW. And just say you will let them know when you and your fiance decide. You don't have to tell people, but if your considering it, it'd be nice to just give them a heads up of a maybe. I wouldn't be having an AHR either, but we'd already made a large deposit on a hall so we thought we might as well use it instead of letting it go to waste. But ultimately the decision is yours, you have to pay for it so if you don't want to do it, don't.
  6. I have 39 more days until my wedding!! It's finally starting to seem real!!
  7. Those are so pretty! And it doesn't even look like you did them yourself because they're so coordinated!
  8. Or, maybe get a full sew-in with no hair left out. If you are okay with a bang, or allowing it to fall to the sides, you could still get a full sew-in and not have to leave any hair out.
  9. I think you can send out an STD if you already know the location, you don't have to know the exact resort, but at least where... I think it's a very good idea though to send them out this early. But definitely try to find a TA ASAP and also do your own research on where you'd like to go, that will speed up the process so that you can get your guests prices sooner than later. Usually air prices come out 9 months in advance, and I think that unless you find a special, it's best to book early. And if your using a TA, most likely they're not searching for deals for your guests daily/weekly, so they're going to give you whats available. Prices fluctuate weekly so I don't think it's a good idea to give your guests any prices set in stone until they're ready to book. And, just my opinion, but prices 4-5 months before your date could be very high... My guests waited until January for my June wedding, and the price quotes they received from November had doubled... So it really depends on how quickly the resort and flight fill up, but I say advise them to be cautious and not wait until the last minute.
  10. This is a great thread! I am using bit and pieces from a lot of these!
  11. I absolutely love the starfish bouts! And the orange and white bouquets look really nice and professionally done!
  12. Could you possibly send out a save-the-date first? And get an unofficial rsvp for who'll be attending? That way people still know they are invited but if they don't have intentions on coming, you won't have to spend as much on the passport invites...
  13. I believe chiffon and satin are good options. But I think if you're going for a light flowing dress, whatever the material it will pack easily in a carry on if thats what you want.
  14. Very unique! I've never seen them in pink before! I wanted to do a starfish bout for my FH but he said no! lol
  15. Thanks for the website! I think that I'm going to order the photo frames for my centerpieces for our AHR since we'll have pictures to show
  16. A lot of our family and friends have asked us about a registry and said they'd like to get us a gift because they won't be attending our wedding. We registered at Bed, bath, and beyond & Target, but we only tell people if they ask. We recently decided that were going to have an AHR because we were previously planning a traditional wedding and had already made deposits for our reception hall. So we figured that we'll still do something simple there so our money won't go to waste. But I think if you're having an AHR you should most definitely do a registry for the sake of people who would like to buy something. My friend didn't do a registry because she only wanted gifts, but ultimately she didn't get much money and got random gifts that she didn't want.... just something to consider.
  17. Those are really cute! And look like they'll be good for long term use!
  18. I think I'm just going to wear wedge heels in the sand... I did buy 4 inch hells, but they're more for picture purposes. It would be absolutely horrible if I just happened to slip and fall walking down the aisle!
  19. That's a really good deal! The cheapest I've found them has been $10 at Walmart. I'll have to think about using them for decor for my AHR now.
  20. Well here's my two cents... When you book directly from the resort, the prices are ridiculously high. I believe a travel agent is the best way to go IF they are with a company willing to price match! When my TA gave me my first price quote, I thought it was quite expensive, but it was still less than what the resort offered. So I checked travelocity and expedia for prices and it was about $600 less than my original quote. So I told my TA, and she did a price match and it ended up being about $900 less with a non-stop flight. So even if you have a TA, look up quotes on your own on those websites, so that they will price match. If they refuse, then you shouldn't book with them because it seems that they're more interested in making money than helping you. Another thing is, are you sure that your guests will be staying for a whole week? They may only want to stay 4 or 5 days so it might be cheaper for them. You definitely don't want your guests to wait to late though, thinking that the prices will go down. 8 months before my wedding, prices were dead cheap! 2 months later, they'd doubled! So try to find out whats an average price for the time of year your going... And make sure you tell your guests to purchase travel insurance! You never know what can happen and if they find out later that it's to expensive, they can get all their money back, minus the insurance cost.
