Thought I'd bump this up, it has some handy planning items such as a photography list.

I'm a little behind on this thread, there is a Canadian version of Rent the Runway its called Rent frock Repeat. They have some really cute short dresses from designers. Everyone's dresses are so beautiful, it makes me want to go shopping for a second one!

Almost 6 months to go, and I feel like I have been a deadbeat bride as of lately. I have done a lot of stuff already, I have my dress, photographer, venue, menu. I just ordered my wedding band because I was told the price of gold is going up again and sure enough I checked the news this morning and its going up. I'm working on a cake, invitations, flowers and music. Even though its 6 months to go I probably realistically only have 5 with Christmas and New Years then we leave a week before the wedding, so..... Time is running out! With the weather we've been having I just want to hang out on a patio or by the beach with a cold drink in my hand! I hope everyone else's planning is going well!

Kya congrats on finding your dress and Liz on quitting smoking. I quit 2 1/2 years ago and sometimes I still struggle staying a quitter. Hang in there, stress will make you want to go back. I just had one of those weeks where is was so close to smoking. It's funny you guys are talking about shoes, I'm having the exact same dilemma. My mom keeps reminding me it's summer here and the shoes won't be in stores for much longer and summer just started!!! I'm thinking of getting some really fun shoes, but they will probably be flats because my FI isn't much taller than me and my dress is super tight to walk in. I'm not a heels kinda girl and don't want any accidents. My wedding planner just sent me a whole list of things to take care of, cakes, decorations, food. I just wish I could sample some of it before going down for the wedding.

Hey just wanted to give an update on my Insanity progress. I fell off doing it my last week of Month 1 and into the beginning of my recovery week. I have noticed results even though I haven't been 100% on board with the diet, ice cream and wine are too had to go without. The first week was the worst so far but there still have been some days where I'm cursing Shawn T. I'm looking forward to starting month 2 next week!

First of all congratulations! I'm getting married in January in Manuel Antonio at Costa Verde. We are not having a beach wedding, but a pool side ceremony. My wedding planner recommended the hotel Karahe for a beach ceremony and reception but I wouldn't recommended the hotel for your guests to stay at. You would have to pay a site fee at that hotel. I stayed at one of the properties managed by Buena Vista Villas my first time in Manuel Antonio, they are very beautiful villa's and the property management company is great, however I think there are a limited number of properties of theirs where you could have a wedding. For accommodations check out: Hotel La Mariposa, Hotel Parador and Hotel La Mansion. Also check out Trip Advisor for other accomodation options, there are a ton of great places in Manuel Antonio.
