Do you mean there are two items within one entree listed? For example: Grilled pork loin with fine herbs crusted sea bass with pasilla sauce? If so, they come on the same plate. Amelia, your shots are stunning! I have looked through them twice already and I can't get over the emotion in them. I had the good fortune to have Juan and Matt shoot my wedding and looking at your slide show is making me excited to see mine. I agree 100% about how easy they were to work with, and Juan is definitely going to hit the same rockstar status Matt and Sol already enjoy. Congrats on a beautiful wedding!

In Switzerland everyone has to get a civil marriage before they can have a church wedding or otherwise, so we only had a symbolic wedding in Mexico. I had similar thoughts about it, so understand how you feel about wanting it to be the "real" wedding, however, you don't even have to tell anyone that you are already married, and it makes things exponentially easier. None of your guests would ever be the wiser. Our wedding was perfect and beautiful and there were still tears of joy, and we didn't have to deal with the extra hassle.

I got married at Excellence Playa Mujeres just over a week ago and we used DJ Mannia. I am very happy with their services. The music during dinner was nice, then when it switched into party mode, they kept the party moving and played all music we liked based on just the few songs we gave them as a style. We didnt get glowsticks or balloons which were discussed originally, but only my bridesmaids had the guts to boogie on the dance floor, so it's understandable. Also, once the party was over, I think they played for 4 hours when we had said 5, but we just moved the party to the nightclub in the hotel so it was no big loss. The DJ they sent was very friendly. All in all, I give it a thumbs up.

Well after a year of planning and anticipation my day as come and gone! I am going to put a detailed review in the proper section, but for the most part everything was fantastic. More info to follow when the jet lag wears off a little

Hi Sharon, I don't think I'll ever be ready! I have been planning for a year and I almost wish I had more time haha. It came up so fast! Yeah, the weather forecast has improved so fingers crossed. Im leaving in 14 hours! When I get there I am going to go into town to buy a few things for the OOT bags that I didn't want to drag down because I am already bringing a ton of stuff with me, then I am going to meet with Yamina. I am getting my hair done at the spa, but my MoH is a make-up artist so she is doing my make up. We are staying for a week, but we are staying longer than any of our guests. The majority are coming just for the weekend.

Thanks Sharon Jen- I just had a look and didn't see a huge difference in the price. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place? Either way, I know that you can get a small discount by taking a block of 10 rooms and you get some other perks along with that. We didnt end up going that route even though we ended up with 16 rooms. But you can negotiate the rate through a travel agent, we used Laura Sangster, to get yourself a little break.

Im leaving in a couple days for my wedding. The weather forecast says rain all week and on the day I'll update when I get back!

I am also using Del Sol...good choice The hotel only includes 30min with the package, so I have asked if Juan Navarro is available to come and shoot 30 minutes of our rehearsal dinner the night before. I think having him shoot the wedding might interfere and I'm afraid they would get in each other's shots.

Beth, you are crazy if you think those pictures are unflattering in any way, shape or form! We are all our worst critics, but, I think most women would kill to look that amazing on their wedding day. Your photos are gorgeous and when I see things like this I know I made the right choice hiring them for my upcoming big day! I can't wait!

We plan on using the guitarist recommended by Yamina and as far as decorations, we were just going to go with the flowers we chose.

Grandstreet- We are going to have around 25-30 guests Valerie- We booked our photographer in September for our March wedding, but I had been talking to photographers since last spring. The first two I tried to book were already taken on my date by the time I got around to actually confirming them. It worked out though because I ended up going with my first choice which I thought was too expensive at first, but then was able to work something out. Nikkis2qt- I got a lot of similar feedback from some of my guests when I told them the initial plan. I have done a site visit and I assure you they will feel safe there. I tried to point out the same thing that Daisy said about getting out at the airport and going straight to the hotel. I told them they are more likely to be murdered or kidnapped in their local city. Eventually they all came around. It is your day afterall I think we have the majority of our planning done now so, its all about waiting and working out at this point!

Girls, go kiss your fiance/husband and remember that each day is a gift. This tragedy really puts all the little things we are obsessing over into perspective and reminds us to be thankful we get to have the opportunity to not only have a wedding, but to be able to enjoy life in general.
