Hi ladies:
Does anyone have a template for the white cardstock that I've seen a few of you ladies place over the ziplock bags for the wedding survival kit? If so can you please post it? Thanks!

Great job! Love the starfish meaning. Our theme is also starfish so that was definitely something neat to know!

Nice job on eveything Rosie! Where did you order your pashminas from?Originally Posted by rosieposie
while cleaning up, i realized I had forgotten about a bag with a couple of other items. (it turns out, i am a DIY-a-holic). LOL i don't know what I'm going to do with myself after the wedding when I have not reason to DIY like crazy!
photoshare cards - printed them on cardstock purchased from staples. then spent an evening cutting them with my friskars trimmer - ugh, i tried to cut them with the big ccutter at work and they turned out all crooked since the cutter's guides have all rubbed off.
luggage tags - i didn't want to fuss with personalizing everyone's info and figure they wouldn't use it again, so i did up some business cards on vistaprint and put "Can You Read This? Then you're too close to my bag" on the front, with the resort's address. Then put a label on the back with the person's name on it. i used the laminator at work with heat seal luggage tags i bought from staples.
engagement photos album for parents - both our parents are not good with computers and hate clicking on a screen. so after reading http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/how-to-make-a-wedding-photo-book i started to follow photobook girl's blog. i've always been into scrapbooking so a photobook is like scrapbooking of the digital-kind. on her blog she posted an area for "free" photobooks http://www.photobookgirl.com/blog/free-photo-books-online-gotta-love-it/. i went with MyPublisher's offer $20 gift card to new customers and purchased 2 softcover 5x7 books and just paid for shipping. Super easy program to use and shipping was really fast too. I think they came out great. I am thinking I might do my own BD shoot album on my own.
Pashmina Tags - I haven't received them, but have prepared the template already. I hate waiting for online items to arrive, lol. Not very patient. I did the tags in Illustrator, and attached the PDF, but also attached a powerpoint version in case anyone needs a starting point to work from.

Were you able to inquire with Nicole re Flower Studio?Originally Posted by oJustBeachyo
I have had FAST responses from the Flower Studio who the Iberostar used to use last year. I want to give up on Tai Flora - It's just getting RIDICULOUS! I just emailed Nicole to ask if I could have them be the florist for the hotel package as well. Sandra from Flower Studio said it wouldn't be a problem but I want to confirm with Nicole.

How much tulle should I buy for the chuppah?

I would also love to see some examples!!!
I'm thinking of sticking with white tulle and just add colored tulle to the posts of the chuppah...

We've decided to save ourselves some money and get some nice gift bags from the Christmas Treet Shop! Good luck with the sales!

My kind of practical bags. I think we too are going to use brown papers bags and just put cardstock on the front. Every penny saved counts!

Same thing that I was wondering Daisy. Can anyone give us feedback?Originally Posted by daisymable
Just wondering why nobody is using the resort for hair and makeup on here. I have been reading through and seeing that a lot of people are using outside vendors but I have not found any negative comments about the salon there. Do all three resorts share the same salon? If so, does anyone know if the salon has a website? Does anyone have a review of the salon? I can't decide what to do. I am wondering if I should just do a make up lesson here before I go.

Very nice Autumn!

I'd be interested in the blue & green too...depending on how many you have. Is the material "iron on transfer" acceptable?

Any past brides who rented out the other restaurants besides Aunt Ruby's for your reception, how was your experience overall? I know we have to have a back up place just in case we have less than the 40 required at AR's so I'm just wondering how the others are. How did you decorate etc. Thanks!
