    My fiance and I are going to JA next weekend to do some on site visits. I'm so excited! My fiance was born and raised in JA, so us planning to have our wedding there will be very special. The resorts we're going to visit are: Iberostar, Riu Mobay, Riu Negril, Riu Tropical Palace, Moon Dance Cliffs and The Hilton Rose Hall Beach & Spa. If anyone wants me to get some brief notes for them re any of the resorts above, just let me know!

    Julie, does the $1200 include a parents wedding album by chance. If not does Marcia offer wedding albums and how long does it normally take to receive your photos once your wedding has come and gone?

    Thanks for creating this thread. I was also wondering what to do with my hair when it's time for our wedding. Does anyone know of any magazines that cater to chocolate brides so I can get an idea of various styles?

    Your postcards are cute. I'm debating on using them for our wedding. I think I'm going to stick with boarding passes for our STDS, passport invitations and then send our guests post cards after we get back from our honeymoon. Happy planning and thanks for sharing!

    I'm sure I commented before but your pics are soooooo GORGEOUS! I want her to do my pictures. I thought I saw good pics, but nothing took the cake like the photos your photographer took. Does she do weddings in Jamaica do you know? I'd so love her!

    My fiance and I have a budget of $10K with a cushion of $12K max if need be. I'm sure with correct planning and making sure we don't splurge on unnecessary items, we will stay well within our budget.

    Hi all: This post is targeted to brides that have gotten married at the following resorts: Iberostar Rose Hall and Beach Resort Rose Hall Beach Resort (Hilton) Riu Mobay, Riu Negril and Riu Tropical Palace Moon Dance Cliffs Can you tell me how the food was? Did your guests rave about it? Also were you able to tailor the menu to your liking? (For example dishes like oxtails, curry chicken, rice & peas, red snapper were they great?) I appreciate the feedback. I'm trying to narrow down which resort's food has a better quality, considering we're paying for it.

    Thanks for posting your review! We're heading to Jamaica next week to do some site visits and MDC is one of the resorts we're visiting. Quick question did you do an all inclusive package for the entire weekend that your guests stayed there? Was it expensive or reasonable?

    Just wondering if anyone experienced a lot of rain during the month of September for your wedding. I know Sept is one of the months in the middle of hurricane season. My fiance and I making plans to wed next Sept. I appreciate any feedback.

    Amanda FAB job on your OOT. Like someone mentioned before if I were a guest at your wedding, I'd LOVE these. Soon as we set our wedding date, I can't wait to start working on projects like this!! Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

    Me too Ms. H. I just read today you had to post at least 150 messages to reach that status. Or pay $30 to do so. But nonetheless I love reading people's planning ideas etc.
