  1. Really?! That is freaking awesome! Definitely getting him for sure. So much cheaper and plays longer than typicl DJs here in New York!
  2. Thanks Janine! I can't wait to share about our experience from the visits and then the actual planning!
  3. Deb how many hours does he play and is his price reasonable?
  4. Beautiful pics Wendy!! Thanks for sharing. I think we are definitely going to use Marcia!!
  5. I'm going to Negril next weekend to do some site visits too. Good luck on your trip. I'm looking forward to going and getting away for a few days!
  6. Just wondering if there are any other fellow NY brides to be who are also taking their wedding to Jamaica or another island. Congrats to all!
  7. Hi all: I didn't realize there is a newbie thread. I just wanted to say hi! I love this website. It's so addictive. My fiance and I got engaged last Dec and are currently planning our wedding for Sept 2011 in beautiful Jamaica! We're so excited. We're going to do some site visits next weekend. I can't wait to update about our process and when we officially book a resort and set our date in stone! Tiffany
  8. Can someone provide a list of song suggestions for categories such as reggae, r&b & calypso? Thanks!
  9. I've been going through and trying to read song suggestions, but I realize a lot of the songs brides provided are for the past years. Does anyone have a current playlist that they don't mind sharing that they're using for their upcoming 2010/2011 wedding? I need song suggestions for the ceremony, first dance, parents, cake cutting and when the dancing starts. All help provided is appreciated!
  10. I've read reviews about Kevan as well and heard he is great. I'm going to book him for our wedding next year.
  11. Amy were you able to get a wedding album (or parent album) with your photography package with Digital Memories? Also how long did it take to receive your pics?
  12. Yup Iberostar is at the top of our list of resorts that we are considering having our wedding. I'll let you know how my trip goes and my overall experience at Iberostar during our visit. Thanks for mentioning the beach and food. These are key components we really hope are outstanding. I'll keep you posted. Tiffany
  13. My fiance has fam in JA too but they live in Kingston, so it's too far out for us to see them during this short trip. Nonetheless it's a research geared trip anyway. Out of the 4 days we're there, Sun will be the only day we get to chill and relax.
  14. I'm getting married in Sept of 2011. We're going down to JA next weekend to do our site visits! We hope to have something booked soon as we get back. Congrats to you and your future hubby. Wow that's a lot of guests that you'll be sending invites to, but like you said less than that will actually attend. Good luck planning!
  15. Sorord1 we're going to be there Nov 5-8th. You're getting more time to play than we are lol.
  16. I just took a look at your website. Very nice. It was very organized!
  17. My fiance are funding our wedding ourselves, because our family doesn't have much. My wants to help out any way she can afford to. But even so if my mom is only able to afford a pair of shoes for me, I'll be thankful. Just her presence alone would make me happy. I do plan on paying for my dress myself. I'm not looking for a dress that's going to cost an arm and a leg either. I just want something that is stunning, brings out my shape, and makes me feel beautiful like that bride I'm destined to be.
  18. My honey is 5 yrs older than me. We're perfect for each other
  19. Christina I too am setting our wedding site on mywedding.com. I'm a bit confused as to how the site password works for guests and non-guests. Is there a way that if I wanted to share it with people who are coming to wedding, yet make certain pages private and only available to guests attending the wedding? If so how?
