Sure that works more pics of your chuppah please lol! Thanks!Originally Posted by breeze616

As for my actual wedding day - it was too windy to have the fabric as I planned, so they improvised. I didnt make any diagrams or anything but I have more photos of the chuppah from my day if you want.

Breeze I like the way you decorated your chuppah. Would happen to have more pics of it at different angles? If so would you mind sharing them? We have 3 wedding colors and I want to incorporate them into the chuppah. (Oh and the diagram if you don't mind.) Thanks!

Hey J:
I think at the Suites the $18 per person is for a ceremony/reception having more than 8 people. So we do have to pay.

Anybody over that number you would have to pay the $18 for. I am pretty sure some brides who have had their reception at Uncle Tony's can confirm that.

Also Sharlie what are you going to use to print these pages on? Regular paper, photo paper?
-
Sharlie these are very nice. Would you be able to post templates so that we can use and tweak them for us too. I love the Jamaica Me Crazy one etc.Originally Posted by sharlie

Below are jpg of my pages..I am still adding more pages like about the guests and a few others..I created them all in photoshop. Can someone answer this for me. Did you create your playlist on a CD/IPOD and then give it to the DJ to play? Or did you create the playlist and give it to the DJ printed out and he downloaded the songs? Also what about the ceremony, same question applies. Appreciate the feedback!
PS - Approximately how many songs does it take to make up an entire playlist for the 3-3.5 hours for the reception?
-
This is veeery pretty Zelda. Funny it's our wedding colors too! We're also having orange as our 3rd color. I wonder how this look would work with 3 colors - aqua, lime green and orange?

Thanks. This helps because now I know to get some before we travel to JA.Originally Posted by breeze616

Bree can you tell me where you got the sheer fabrics for the chuppah? Did the resort provide it or did you order it online? Please advise! Thanks! ~Tiff
Hi Tiff, The coloured fabric I brought with me. I bought it at a fabric store in Toronto. The white sheer fabric is the resorts.
-
During the music being played for the ceremony (processional, bride entrance etc.) did you provide the resort with a CD of the songs (or Ipod) you wanted played and then instructed them to change it according to the moment?
Also for those past brides that have used the resort DJs (at either the Suites, the Beach, or the Grand), tell me when you created a playlist for him to play, did you give it to him on a cd, did you give him your Ipod or did you give him a sheet of paper with all of your songs for him to download?
I just need clarity. Appreciate the feedback!

Thanks ladies for both lists!!

Does anyone have the menu for the all of the restaurants where we have the option of hosting a reception at, for the Suites? If so, can someone kindly email it to me? I want to look at it to get an idea of the types/variety of dishes we can choose from. Also if you have the cocktail hour menus as well, please send.
My email address is [email protected]
Thanks!

Wow all booked up? Last minute guests better get a move on. For our wedding in September I hope our guests get on the ball and reserve their rooms soon.Originally Posted by Caprice35

I am getting married on May 14th and I know all of my guest haven't reserved their room yet. So, I am trying not to worry about it. I guess I will see what happens!

I'm happy I found this tread bc I was going to post and ask the same thing. We're going to do both as well. We're getting married in Jamaica (Montego Bay) and plan on spending our honeymoon in Negril. So it'd be helpful and appreciative if guests can contribute to the honeymoon resort etc.
-
Can anyone recommend a nice prayer to be said before the start of the ceremony?
-
Eholt your fiance sounds like my fiance lol. Our wedding's in Sept and over the past few weeks I've seen good deals online and have told guests about it. I also encourage them to put down a deposit for their room with our TA, no one has done anything yet, except me and my fiance. My biggest concern is my mother and our bridal party. Other than that people are on their own. Procrastination gets no one anywhere.

I called like 2 people and then my FI said don't reach out to anyone else b/c we gave them a YEAR to plan. Oh well...guests or no guest...its going down on May 19!!!

Ashaun the prices will go right back down. They fluctuate all the time. Continental was $900 roundtrip last week per person roundtrip and the next day dropped in the $500's. If they are too high wait a little for them to drop, but once they drop low make sure you take advance of that low price because they typically do not get any lower than the where they were originally.

Oh Marcia does video too? Hmm...will have to chat to the fiance about this.
-
I haven't yet. It seems like their scarce in Jamaica. Totally opposite from what we're used to here in New York.
-
Yeah I'm sticking with the white table cloths and the aqua accents for sure. I can't wait until the day's finally here!

Nice thread. Your wedding is almost here! Whoo hoo!! Can't wait until ours is as close...almost 7 months to go for us!
