Thank you for the price information. It is so hard to budget for these things without knowing exactly how much they are going to cost. Really starting to stress about it. I just can't wait to have have everything settled and planned. Until then, I'm just going to save as much as possible and hope that will be enough.

HI. Does anyone have a price list for DJ, mariachi band, etc for private events? Yeah, seven months out and I'm starting to get really worried about my budget. I was entirely too optimistic when I planned all these things out in February!

I completely agree. I booked back in March. In order to block the rooms I had to pay some percentage of my stay only. I'm not sure if that was my TA's rule or MP's. I think it may have been 2 or 3 nights I paid for to hold the block. Something definitely seems off about them changing the conditions. I would definitely aruge the point. Good luck!

Lisa, just saw your earlier post. My daughter Zoey will be 21 months. Glad to hear there will be other toddlers around.

Lisa Not much at all. Until I found this site a week or so ago, I didn't even realize how much I have to plan! So far, all I have done is sent out save the dates and invites. I picked out both my dress and my bridesmaids. I just started looking through here for ideas of decorations, flowers and private event locations. Now I am thinking I should increase my budget! How about you? How is your planning coming along?

Hi Lisa! We will be there at the same time. I am getting married on May 15th.

It's hard to sort out arrangements for kids that young. Of course we want her there and I want to have fun doing things with her, but at the same time it is our wedding/honeymoon and we want time to enjoy with our friends and by ourselves. My fiance and I are staying May9 - May 16. Most of my guests are staying May 11 - May 15. I think I am going to leave her home with my brother. He will travel with her on the 11th and she will stay with us the rest of the time. I also have a few older teen nieces (15 -16 yr old). I may just pay them to babysit a few nights once I put Zoey down to sleep. I don't think they will mind. After all, they have no business being out and about at night in Mexico...haha!!

Angela, That is awful. Who is telling you that you need to pay sooner, the MP rep or your TA? That doesn't seem right to me. Do you have everything in writing? So sorry.

Thanks for the suggestions. My brother and most of my guest are arriving a few days after us. I'm considering leaving her with my brother and having him bring her to Mexico That will give us a chance to get everything finalized and have some alone time. I purposely looked for resorts with kids clubs and activities because some of my guest are bringing children as well. Unfortunately, I did not look into the age restrictions. My daugther will be just shy of two and the only child too young for the kids club. Moon Palace does not have a babysitting service. I'm sure we'll find a solution and make it work.

Hi, does anyone know if deco cancun has a price list? I have no idea what I want. Would love to see some general ideas/prices for things they typically do for center pieces and decorations. I'm not even sure how to contact them. Do I have to wait for my WC to do that? I feel so behind in all this planning! Thanks, girls!

From what I've been reading, it doesn't look like Moon Palace has a babysitting service. I don't think we will be able to afford to pay for our babysitter to come for the week, but also don't want to burden our family and friends who are coming with looking after her while we are preparing for the wedding. Is anyone else having similar concerns or have any ideas for me?

I am having 5 bridesmaids and have been thinking about the flowers as well. One of the reviews I read mentioned ordering the flowers from a Cancun florist and having them delivered to the resort. I think I will look into that option. Does anyone have a pricelist for flowers, cakes, entertainment, etc?
