  1. The flowers in my profile pic is not the bouquet forsale but looks similar.. I have pictures of the ones I have for sale.
  2. I was suppose to get married June 29/11 at Beaches Negril and that is no longer happening therefore I have a bunch of items for sale and I will have pictures to show for all items upon request. I have 20 Message In A Bottle wedding invitations for sale. They come with the glass bottle, corks, sand and seashells, neutral color raffia and the mailing box with sea foam. The only thing you would have to purchase on your own is the scroll/parchment paper to print your invitation on, and roll it up and place it in the bottle. I will sell for $100 as I paid $200 with my invitation printed in it. I have purchased Real Touch Flowers from Hibiscus Florals (as you can not leave the island with the real flower bouquets you purchase I figured for myself this was the best way to go and they are absolutely gorgeous, they are soft to touch and so very real looking) the bridal bouquet consists of orange and pink calilillies, hot pink roses, white phalaenopsis orchids and white roses and the handle wrapped with orange ribbon, two bridesmaids bouquets that consist of pink Callililies, white phalaenopis orchid with the handle wrapped with orange ribbon. There are three boutonniere's that are Calilillies one being the grooms, two rose corsages for the mother's. My wedding colors were orange and pink. There is also a white orchid for your hairpiece. I am asking $500 paid $600. Romantic Bridal Dress never worn selling for $700. Size 10, white/silver, Matte Satin #6002 on Romantic Bridal website. Headband/Tiara $20 Gazebo Cake Topper $20 If you are interested in seeing pictures of any of these items please contact me at [email protected] and I will be happy to send them to you. Erica
  3. Well dont stress... this is suppose to be a memorable time and fun time.. dont let the people in Miami force you into anything as its not necessary and just enjoy ever moment of planning your wedding.. I have to decide myself what to do about pictures... ughhh... I have read though that the photographer at Beaches is very good.. forget the name though.. so we will see.. enjoy enjoy enjoy...
  4. Bride2Be143, haha you have done so much more than I have and I am getting married June 29/11 at Beaches Negril so hats off to you. lol I refused to go through Renee in Miami due to the added stress of being forced into paying for things I dont want to pay for instead honestly I go through my travel agent who has been great and can get in touch with Renee it seems more easily than I also my agent has sent all our paperwork for us too. My plan is to book my photography and videography once I get there and for me that part is important as I want pics to remember the time and a video for the folks at home who couldnt attend (Im having a dinner when I get home with friends who couldnt go and showing the video). As for the extras I will pick and choose what I want when I get there because honestly going through Miami they work on commission that is why they push so hard so dont stress yourself out... it will all work out for you. I will be sure to post my thoughts and experiences too once I get back from Jamaica. Until then I am working on my flowers which I have decided to do Real Touch because for the money the resort is charging for flowers to me is expensive and you can't leave Jamaica with your bouquet if you wanted to keep it, with real touch you can and believe me the flowers look so real..and they are the flowers and colors I wanted as well. Once I get them shipped to me (beginning of March) I will post pics and all the other things that go along with getting married away.
  5. So I have questions now about photography and videography... does anyone have any pics that they can share from the onsite photographer and can you give me some feedback as to if they were good and how the video turned out as well. I would appreciate it. Also the flower packages at the resort are horrendously priced considering you can't even leave the island with fresh cut flowers so I ordered Real Touch flowers and you can't even tell that they are not real. They are all the flowers I wanted and colors and I will be able to leave the island with them and keep my bouquet. If anyone wants to check out the place I used its hibiscusflorals.com They are great to work with, easy to correspond with and they make sure you are happy and the prices are reasonable. There are pictures on the website and testimonals.. I am hoping once my wedding is done I can also submit my pictures for the site. They are great people to work with.
  6. I was wondering if anyone has used the photographer on the resort and if so do you have any pictures you would share with me so I can see them. I am at the point where I have to decide what to do for photography. I am getting married June 29/11 at Beached Negril and wondering how the photographer on site is. Hoping to get some feedback... also did anyone use the vidoegrapher and how did that turn out? thanks
  7. If I may just add my two cents on the flower situation. Honestly, I dont think alot of people like fake flowers I know I didn't UNTIL I found a place that has a site with posted pictures of arrangements made from Real Touch Flowers and a ton of testimonals. I have decided to get my flowers from this place and they have been fabulous to correspond with and very very helpful and reliable. There prices are reasonable and I have my bouquest with the flowers and colors I wanted also my bridal party's flowers and corsages and boutinnerres... You can not leave Jamaica with your bouquet so your going to pay a ton of money for flowers that you can't bring home..that in itself to me is a waste of money whereas you can bring your real touch home if you so choose and heck, you can resell them on ebay if you dont want to keep them. If you just arent sure visit the website and just check it out maybe then you will be sold its hibiscusflorals.com . Good luck
  8. I am getting married on Jue 29/11 at Beaches Negril and there is a forum called Beaches Negril Bride-Post here !!! type that in and on that site there is invaluable information from brides to be from brides who have and I tell ya, read it from front to back and most of your questions will be answered.. I know a ton of mine were...
  9. We are ordering thermal travel mugs from this site for our wedding however we were just going to use one of they're clip art pictures and put our names, wedding date and Negil, Jamaica on them ... was there an issue because you wanted your own art besides the fact that they were out of stock in the mug that you originally wanted... Do you think if using there own art work and as long as our mugs are in stock we would have the same issue and will they send us a picture of the mug with our info and the clip art we choose before they print, so we can approve it, or did they just do this with you because you used your own art?
  10. Your bags are awesome... where did you get the do not disturb signs made and the hazard bags? Great idea..
  11. Hello everyone... My name is Erica and I am getting married on June 29, 2011 at Beaches Negril at 3pm... that much I know..lol I have read this entire forum and must say got alot of useful information. Now I just have some of my own questions and wondered if someone can help me out with them. 1. I realized talking to the wedding coordinator from Miami isnt going to happen anytime soon from reading your threads...lol and I do have a email into her as of three days ago so I will just wait for my reply although my travel agent did say I could go through her to get to the planner so if after a week I hear nothing I will do just that. 2. I would like to keep the cost down as this is the whole reason for a destination wedding plus I hate planning things and all the kerfluffle *haha* that goes along with all that. I like to keep things simple and stress free as best I can. So with saying that, I plan on doing the New Beginnings Wedding however I do want different flowers. I want the color pink and orange flowers SO, should I be bringing them from home or buy them there, I heard you can't take your bouquet home with you from the resort..is this true? If so what is the point of paying all that money and having to leave the flowers there? So I was thinking of getting my own made here and bringing them, plus picking up the freeze dried rose petals. 3. Also MEAGAN you did what I want to do and that is have my wedding then go to one of the all inculsive restaurants (Seville or Mill) for dinner with EVERYONE that is there for my wedding. When you did this, did you have to reserve that in advance or can you do that when you meet with your wedding planner? And also did they allow that without any problems? I dont care about them decorating it or anything like that... I just want everyone together for dinner and seeing as we are paying a arm and a leg to be there in a ALL INCLUSIVE I would like the dinner to be just that. 4. I am getting married on a Thursday so if there is a "beach party" on thursdays, will we be able to eat together as a group at that or will that require reservations as well, does anyone know this? 5. For the post reception you had MEAGAN (the free one) it states that it is free for bride and groom and two or four others (sorry I forget and dont have the paper work right here with me) is this so or is the 30min reception post wedding inclusive for everyone and do you get to do your dance (bride and groom and father/daughter ) if you so choose at this time? For this short of a time do they let you pick where you have this reception or do they just kind of set it up wherever and do I need to rent the dance floor for this or will the reception be somewhere where we can do this? I just want to know if I am going to be able to dance with my fiance and dad on my wedding day? 6. For the evening activities I am thinking we are just going to go to Liquids however how big is it? Do you keep your dress on for this or should you change? I guess you only get to wear it once right so should probably keep it on but what would be the norm? I know I have a lot of questions but I am at the part where I have to pick the things I want and start the pre planning of events etc... so I just want to have an idea. Also what is OOT bags? What does that stand for, I understand what they are for and should be put in them but are these bags for everyone who attends your wedding or only the people standing?
