Asia Jane, We went with the ultimate package. I had the ceremony in gazebo and the reception on the beach. They were able to use the flowers from tthe gazebo as centerpieces. They were beautiful. They also provided us with candles but I dont think those stay lit. There is too much breeze for candles but it also makes it very pleasant and I never felt hot.

To fellow DPA brides, We are back and married and I definitely will be writing a full review in the next couple days. I just want to say that you can't beat having a wedding in Mexico. The sunshine and the beach alone makes it surreal..... they definitely do an great job with many aspects of it that I will go into detail in my review. But there are many details that I felt like the whole time I was on vacation I was having to deal with which makes for a stressful vacation. Who wants to spend there wedding/honeymoon dealing with the front desk, concierge, etc. when on vacation. Now that I am home and I checked our bank account they did not charge us for the amount they told us they were going to at check out by the front desk. We spent what I would consider a lot of time our last two days trying to rectify it and then wehen we get home it was not done at all so now I am spending my first day back home having to work on that...Not fun. I am not saying you won't have an amazing. beautiful and fun wedding. Just don't expect the same level of service as you would in the states when they make a mistake. Here are a couple of pics a friend took. Our pro pics by the resort are beautiful although I think way overpriced! I will post some when I do our full review of the resort. Tracy

I ordered my dress from china Joyzilla.com email address on paypal is [email protected] and it was suppose to be here April 27th at the latest but they sounded pretty confident that it would be early. They were unresponsive for about 10days and now I just received a email that stated it wasnt even completed yet! I am devastated because this is for my wedding! As for the tipping, I am going to tip at the end. It would be very disappointing tipping a 100.00 first thinking that it is going to get you extra stuff and that doesn't happen. I would rather tip at the end based on how much attention they spent on my wedding. What is everyone going to tip the servers at the reception? I think they have quite a few catering to all of your needs just curious. As for the tanning, I think I am going to do three high pressured tans and then one versa spray before I go. Our wedding is 3 days after we get there and those first three days, I am going to avoid the water above the waist. My dress is long so even if it comes off on my legs a bit, nobody will know. Also I was told at one dress shop that white dress can make a tan seem more orange because of the contrast. Tracy

I know what everyone means! The next 5 weeks are going to go by so fast! Between gym, hot yoga, laser hair removal for my legs, brazilian, upper lip and under arms, then making sure that I can get my hair done before we leave, I am feeling a little stressed with all the appointments! At first I thought time was going by too slow and now It is almost starting to go by too fast! Is anyone doing mystic tan before they go. I usually do before I go on vacation, but it always seems to wash off in a couple days which wont last until our wedding! Any suggestions? Tracy

Hi Asia Jane! For our pig roast we are doing about a 60 to 70 lb. pig. My brother is a chef and he had one at his wedding and everyone loved it! We are thinking of having mini tortillas, a black bean and roasted corn salad, a cole slaw that can go on the tacos or as a side, and pico de gallo. For an appetizer we are thinking spicy prawns and something else that we havent decided on yet!:-) and of course chips and salsa. We will have beer and lots of red wine and a little bit of white. My FH thinks we need to have about a bottle of wine a person so we dont run out!! The Invitation is from 5-8 but will probably go later than that for some... We sent out informal evites and we have 50 confirmed so far. With the possibilty of 80ppl! We are praying for nice weather because it will be in my Mothers back yard and house but hopefully it can mainly be in the backyard! which is beautiful. that is great you have lost 15 lbs that must feel good!! I have been working out like crazy this past month and can definitely see a difference in my legs and my arms... but my abs aren't budging at all!! I still have 7 weeks so we are being crazy healthy!! My Fiance is doing a cleanse and I am doing high protein no sugar carbs or alcohol for 3 weeks!! hopefully I won't get too crabby! Hi Crystal, We get there on the 13th and staying until the 23rd. We will have 11 adults and 4 kids with us so far. It is mostly family. The kids ages are my sisters 3 girls ages 6,4, and 2 and our son Elliot who will have just turned 4. How old are your kids? Tracy

That sounds great. I think I am going to do Beach bags, Pashimas, and a bottle of wine and hopefully deliver them before we go down there. We have a very small group flying down together 7 adults and 4 kids under 6, so I don't want to worry about the extra luggage. You would happen to know if you can request carseats for the transfer from the airport? Thanks!

I have seen some of his pictures and they look pretty good. We are also going to meet with him before the wedding to go over some of the pictures that are important to us and what kind of style we are looking for. We thought about going with a outside photographer but they were either way out of our price range and it seemed more complicated then I wanted to deal with. I liked the simplicity of getting everything in a package. The wedding coordinator has answered all my questions fairly promptly, but we are waiting until we get a final head count and we get down there to make any final decision. Hope this helps. Tracy

One more question.... Is everyone doing welcome bags? My fiance thinks its silly to put in a bag things that most people already pack themselves. I was thinking more of buying a nice bottle of wine for each couple that comes down after the trip. (Everyone in my group drinks alot of red wine!) plus then we would not have to lug a bunch of stuff! Thoughts? Tracy

Jacy told me they were 60" tables that are for 8-10 ppl. I also saw on there facebook page that they had a rectangle/square table that was set for 10 that looked like it could seat 12.
