I am 6 months older than my fiancé, however he looks A LOT younger than me.. he has a baby face.. and he is always wearing a cap and his oakley sunglasses.. make him look like he's 18!! When we head to the US, he always gets carded when he orders a beer.. ummm hello he's 36 now!!! How come I don't get carded lol !! What do I look like his grandma!! lol

Funny that you mention that .. I just got back from the Dominican Consulate ( the one located in Montreal) and they gave me back our birth certificates with the proper authentications ... however, we were told by the clerk that once in the Dominican after the wedding , the hotel / judge will keep our birth certificates as proof to put with the wedding license etc...... and that we would need to to get new ones from the Quebec Government on our return. Now are you saying that this is not necessary for our marriage to be legal????

I want to use a real flower... however I heard that at near dinner time .. the real flower is already wilted.. so I guess it wouldnt be a bad idea to have a spare one to change into.... sorry about the repetitive messages.. but id like this as well!! God im greedy!!

You did a very wise thing starting this up !!! I have less than 4 months to go ... and the final payment date with the travel agency is this monday ... so I doubt i'll be having any surprises.. especially since the price will no longer be the same if the person books by themselves. I'm happy with the little bunch that we have... 12 total plus FI, myself, & the two kids... and actually i'm "over" when it came to my prediction of how many people would come.. so can't be disappointed about that! Did you have your AHR.. how did that go????

I hear ya!! My father this week .. made me feel super guilty as well !! To sum things up, he told me that my mother was asking him to pay a lot more things around the house recently .. because she was saving up money to come to the wedding... told me I was leading everyone in the family to bankruptcy!!!!...... nice.......meanwhile he has 3 children and he wonders why he didn't walk any of us down the aisle... hmmmmm

Wow, didn't think many brides were in this situation!! With everyone having 40+ booked everywhere.. I was starting to wonder if I was the outsider!! We are 14 booked including myself & fiancé, my fiancé has zero .. count 0 family going.. and 0 friends... he doesn't have anyone to be best man .... would have offered my dad.. however my dad isn't going ... cause he doesn't like to fly!!! I feel bad about my fiancé's situation.. eventhough he doesn't show any emotion about it. He doesn't regret our decision either, he wanted ocean & beach & gazebo just as much as I did. We invited maybe 25 people in all, because those who I knew wouldn't come.. I just didn't waste the time to invite... it's our Big day and I didn't want people to spoil it and i'm not the type of person to invite people that I barely know.. just so that they send a gift or something like that. It's just really disheartening to see the response on his side... especially since his sister got married 2 years ago ... and his parents made a big ADO about that and spent a bunch of money on her... but won't even RSVP for their own son.

I didn't feel that way .. however I did just receive an item and the person told me the shipping would be 11.80$, which I gladly paid because I didn't know how big the items were actually .... and I got the box, it was really small ... and it said 3.80$ on the postage... so 8$ was made extra just on the shipping... I know that I won't do that type of thing when I sell my stuff... the price of shipping .. will be the actual price of shipping.... why would we want to " stuff it" to a future bride.. the site is here to help us!

Hi Tori! I don't have the plastic vases at my house, they are at my bridemaids house, cause she's the artistic one and is in charge of doing the centerpieces! I got them maybe 3 weeks ago the vases, they have a stem, bigger at the botton, smaller in the middle and then a bit larger at the lip.... I went to HomeSense in the brossard area, have no idea if all of them have the same items! Only bought 2 !! Yes i'm crazy .... I really regret it ... because I'm sure to need more! Will go look tomorrow if they still have some more , they were with the summer dishes and Bbq stuff...

Wow, sometimes I wonder where people get the nerve .... if she hasn't had an official invite, how could she possibly think she's in the wedding party???? I personally wouldn't address it ... and let her think/dream/assume what she wants, it's not worth the aggravation!
