show us your rings!
pinkbride2011 replied to NABUMBAH's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
My ring has side detail I didn't want to cover, so I'm having a separate, but still matching band made for my right hand. I won't wear them together and the times we travel and I don't have my engagement ring I can switch it over to my left hand. You get a ring for each finger! Just thought I'd share the idea with you.... good luck. -

My ring has a lot of side detail that would be covered by a band. So we've decided to do a separate band for my right hand. I love the idea bc i get 2 beautiful pieces of jewelry out of it! congrats!! Quote: Originally Posted by AngelaPolles Congratulations on your in engagement! You ring is beautiful! -
Totally sympathize. My FI and I are already paying for the wedding ourselves. I went from having my mom buy her own ticket, room, dress and my dress.... to now paying for my own dress, her dress, her room and ticket. I was a little embarrassed at first, my FI comes from a more financially stable family than I do, but he has been so great and not at all resentful (as I feared). Ultimately, I love my mother and it just wouldn't be the same without her. So we made the cuts where we needed to.... I'm okay parting with the extras I "had" to have. I HAVE to have my family there. If you're like me and family is most important, then in the end, you'll make peace with it. In the meantime- I totally get it, it's disappointing for sure.

Cabo Brides Post Your Dress Here!!!

Love everyone's dresses! I was most excited about dress shopping when (and before) I got engaged. I would have happily tried on a gazillion dresses. Unfortunately, I'm very decisive. I found my dress in a magazine, stared at it everyday for 4 weeks, finally made the appt, tried it on, didn't want to take it off, and purchased it. It's the first and only dress I tried on and I LOVE IT! Here it is: -

I'm not sure what your relationship is like with your Mother-in-Law, but I've been advised not to do the talking. We had a similar situation to deal with. Most of my married friends and family told me to make my FI have the difficult convos with his family and me with mine. I think that's good advice. Sour in-law relationships are horrible and lifelong. My FI told his mother we were limited on space (true) and to please give us a shorter list. It worked, her list was cut by 3/4!!! Good luck!!

Hello Fellow June 2011 Brides! I'm fairly new to the site and just found this thread. I'm getting married June 11, 2011 at Cabo Azul Resort in San Jose del Cabo. I'm so excited. Our Planner from the resort is great and so far everything is falling into place. I've been planning since August and so far I have booked: Cabo Azul Resort: Chapel (on site): Menu DJ Mijares (playing Acoustic Guitar during cocktail hour) Wedding Website Officiant Dress Still need to do: Engagement photos (being done this weekend) Send Save the dates (waiting for engagement photo) Design Invitations Flowers Cake/Baker Reception Decor Welcome Party (sent messages to Damiana and Mi Casa today) I'm so excited, but overwhelmed and nervous at the same time. It's hard not being there, but we visit our resort and meet with vendors in January. Also my FI are paying for this on our own.... it's getting pricey and that's nerve wracking! If anyone has any great suggestions on the things I still have to do, I'd love to hear them!!! Please! So excited to have someone to talk to, I think my FI and MOH are getting sick of it. LOL.

I'm looking for a place too. We're looking to accommodate 50-55ppl for less than $100pp (including alcohol). I'd like an authentic mexican restaurant since our dinner is going to be fine dining/cuisine. I've been referred to Mi Casa and La Damiana. I'm waiting to hear back from both places. I think they're both in San Jose del Cabo.

Originally I found a similar ring by Verragio and fell in love with it. My FI had his jeweler design a similar ring. It's a round brilliant cut center stone (2carat, G, VS1), white gold, 4 prong. My camera is pink and the reflection of it are causing the diamonds to look discolored or cloudy, but they're not in person. I absolutely love it! -
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I booked my wedding at Cabo Azul 3 weeks ago and the staff has been excellent and very responsive. They've made many alterations to contract and have been very pleasant. It doesn't even sound like the same staff any longer, including Grace. She's been great and sounds nothing like the Grace described above. I hope there has been a change for the better, bc Rebel Bride's experience sounds horrifying.
