I haven't done any AHR planning either... but ours is not until Sept.

Ladies, I could really use some advice on hair I don't usually wear weave- but I'm planning to for the wedding. But no clue- on what type- I want to wear a side bun with curls/the messy look. I don't think a sew in will work for this, not sure if tracks glued in will be best-- and I've been reading about the clips, on here. But i don't really understand how they work.... Any advice would be great! Thanks.

I pretty sure I'm going to walk to "So Beautiful" by Musiq Soulchild. Don't quite know what to use for the wedding party though...

We had difficulty to with this issue too. We decided to register after our wedding but before our AHR. Our thought is this will allow guests who are not attending the wedding to buy gifts if they desire- but prevent those that our coming to Mexico from doing so. They are already giving us the gift of their presence-- we definitely don't want anything more

Is anyone doing any excursions/tours? I could use some ideas.

Kitty25967, You could always do LED flickering candles. I'm planning to do these, wrapped in luminaries as part of my centerpieces. They will stay lit

We are planning basically just a party. Maybe backyard barbecue style. So I won't wear my dress again. We really want to keep expenses down as this point. So I'm thinking, no photographer, no DJ, lots of food and good drinks Our families both know how to have a good time without all the "extra". Definitely will have a slideshow with wedding pics and hopefully video.

Marvin sent me pics as well, His work looks awesome and he has a wide variety of ideas if you have a color in mind but not necessarily types of flowers. Girls, I got the call that my dress came in early today! Eeek! Excited to see it but also wishing it was a week or two later. I still don't know what I want to do about jewelry and I wanted to have it for my fitting. What kind of jewels are you ladies wearing? I need some ideas

Has anyone made payments via the website recently? I am having trouble with my WC. She wants us to make payments by faxing a copy or our credit card and ID. I really don't feel safe doing this. Has anyone else had to make payments via fax? If not, how are you ladies doing it with your WCs? Thanks!

Ok, I will have to check with Marvin about renting some things as well. We definitely don't want to drag a bunch of stuff down there and back. As far as the stress-induced weight-loss, I've somehow managed to lose 10 lbs in 3 months without working out While, I've never been one to complain about weight loss- I've been cracking myself up lately because my jeans are all too big and I don't really want to spend money on jeans, right now. Right before this spontaneous weightloss, I gave away like 4 pair that I thought I wouldn't ever get in again. Kicking myself! LOL. Keep your curves! I still need to tighten up my stomach so I can get into a bathing suit- but I'm starting to feel a little lacking in the curves areas Jen, Thanks for the tip about the LED lights. Hadn't thought of those. I will have to check those out. I'm thinking of just getting a simple white dress from like express or somewhere for going out after the reception. They always seem to have cute little party dresses.

I agree, it's so hard to stay within budget with all the ideas I keep getting from the site. We've upgraded to a private reception now, and now I'm thinking about what to do for table decor. I really don't want to pack a lot of stuff because I know we will already have a bunch with wedding attire and OOT gifts, etc. Are you ladies bringing centerpiece items, or ordering stuff from the Royal?

Geoffnsara, My planner is Bety. Well, you girls have convinced me, our group is up to 17, and we still have some people to book- so we are going to go ahead with the private reception and just do the ipod thing. I heard about the ipod app from another thread called My WeddingDJ. It's supposed to help you organize the music by parts of the wedding, ex. "first dance", etc. It's $5, so I downloaded and I'm going to see if it's helpful at all. We're just doing the regular dance floor, I can't justify the extra cost for the light up one- though it does look cool. Is everyone else doing a cocktail reception as well? If so what's your time frame from wedding to reception? I feel like our reception will be over by 8pm, and I was really hoping to go out in playa afterwards. That seems to early to me, I dunno. The wedding starts at 3pm. Is everyone doing bridesmaid bouquets? I am working on this now, waiting to hear back from Marvin at Mayo Diseno. It seems like our budget keeps expanding-- and we really need to cap it because there is still the AHR to pay for! Any suggestions on how to find more affordable flower options? This forum, has been such a big help to me with all this planning! So glad to have found you girls!

Thank you! We will be checking out the Old Navy linen. It looks more casual, and my fiance was just complaining last night about not wanting to be too hot or too dressed up. LOL. Men... Meanwhile, I'm in a full formal wedding gown. I hope we don't look too crazy
