    I am in the same situation as you, my FI has three kids aged 16. 13 and 11. The oldest and youngest are boys so he is having them be his co-best men (this way no feelings were hurt with his friends) and his daughter is one of my bridesmaids. We are incorporating them into the sand ceremony. I will have a color, FI will have a color and the kids will share a color ( I felt like 5 colors would be too many). This way we are representing the joining of a family

    Our resort offers unlimited private functions if we have over 75 room nights booked for our wedding. We have surpassed this so we are doing a welcome cocktail reception two days before our wedding. We figure this will be a good way for our guests to get to know eachother before the festivities begin. I am thinking about calling it a "Cox-tail Hour" because our last name is Cox. Is that too cheesy? I just emailed the resort and asked for the liquor list so we can start creating our signature "cox-tails". I am also having her send us the appetizer list.

    I was in Costco this week, yes Costco, and they have 4 or 5 cute Billabong bikinis for only $29!! I am on the nunt to have a new bikini for everyday so this worked out great. I know that billabong is a great brand for swimwear so I bought a cute black and white one.

    Besides the photography issue that I had with them (I decided to hire my own anyways) they have been super helpful and accommodating for us. We will be having close to 100 people attend our wedding. I hope things look up for you in the future.

    Wendy recently got our rates adjusted even lower than our original contracted price. Her dedication is priceless!

    Originally I had a bought a package but after I decided to cancel the photographer, I decided to cancel my package and just add the things that I wanted. I added the horse drawn carriage, the fireworks and the harpist. I am using some of our vacation dollars for the videographer because they do allow you to do that.

    This is a great thread. I am still searching for a ceremony reading for a good friend. I will post some more when I find them.

    I was having the same problem so I found a few jewelers on etsy that I liked and mailed them a picture of the dress and a little tid bit about my wedding and they emailed me back options. It worked out really well. Etsy can be so overwhelming and I know there is stuff on there that can be missed.

    We decided to have a destination wedding for a few reasons. One of them being that I have always pictured myself getting married in a tropical location with the ocean behind me. Another is that we would of had a 300+ person wedding if we did it here in California. And lastly, we wanted to be able to spend a few days partying with our friends and family instead of just a few hours like a typical wedding. Whatever your wedding ends up being, just know that the ones who care about you the most will be there.
