  1. I also think that is a great idea, that way your guests can relax and they are still free to do as they please. That is why we decided to throw in the beer pong tournament. We figured it would be a fun thing to do while we are at the pool.
  2. When are the majority of your guests leaving? Maybe you can plan something entertainment wise for Sunday afternoon. Just a thought.....
  3. Well since everyone else is putting their plan of attack, I figured I will do the same. Monday- Arrive at the resort with both sets of parents, my future step-kids and my brother. Meet with the WC and discuss the details. Tuesday- Spend the day at either Xcaret or Xplor. Which one is better? We want to do something with the kids before everyone arrives. The kids are aged 11, 13 and 16. Wednesday- Couples massage at 9 am then hang out in the pool and the lobby and wait for the rest of our guests to arrive. Thursday- Boys are going deep sea fishing and girls are doing a spa morning. Welcome cocktail party from 7 to 8 at the Maracas Terrace and then bachelor/bachelorette party festivities. Friday- We are doing a "play day"at Cozumel. We are going to take the resort transportation to Playa del Carmen (aka Playacar Palace) and then hop on the ferry and do Cozumel for the day. Saturday- Wedding day!!! Ceremony at Coba Gazebo and reception at Solarium Mundaca. Sunday- Our TTD session followed up by pool time and a beer pong tournament to "recover" ha ha! Monday- Our flight leaves in the late afternnon so we may try and figure out an activity to do that morning. Just like Jessica, I feel like I may need more entertainment. Any suggestions? Should I do a Welcome Dinner on Wednesday? I feel like I have to decorate every time I do any kind of event, anyone else feel that way?

  15. Jess- I would love those etsy vendors! quote name="jszy10" url="/forum/thread/58515/june-2011-brides/250#post_1579297"] Alisa (1) I have tables numbers that I got from another BDW bride -- they are a picture of the sand/ocean water with the number written in the sand. I can email them to you if you want to check them out! (2) I bought my dad this picture frame -- http://www.bridesvillage.com/princess-bridal-frame.html, and my mom is getting the same necklace/earring combo, along with a bracelet (3) I bought my custom hair flower (she even make matching smaller ones for my girls) and garter from etsy vendors..if you want their names I can give them to you. I was VERY happy with everything!
  16. Jess, We ordered our shot glasses from discountmugs.com. We ordered 100 and it came out to about $120 afer the set-up fee and shipping, so we were happy with that! I will upload some pictures of the welcome book let later, it is a compilation of a few other templates I found. Love this site! Alisa
  17. Steph- I had my RSVP date as March 15th and I am still chasing some down, so that is perfectly normal!

Duff from Charm City Cakes/Ace of Cakes is a personal friend and he is bringing our cake. I think that is all for now....
  19. Very nice. I am about 2 months out and I am trying to get all of these final things done. Problem is I slipped while doing laundry last Weds, banged my head off of the dryer and gave myself a moderate to severe concussion So, it has kind of put my life on hold. My doctor told me that I need to not drive, go to school, coach, read or pretty much do anything until this Tuesday. So needless to say it is pretty frustrating when I have a wedding that I need to plan. Slowly but surely I am starting to feel a little better so I work on a little bit a day. I finished our welcome booklet yesterday and ordered our personalized shot glasses. Last week before I got hurt, I found my shoes and jewelery, finalized our cake with Charm City Cakes Duff is a personal friend and he is flying to Mexico with our cake), finished the programs and starfish aisle decor, recieved the cocktail shakers. My dress is scheduled to be in within a few weeks. My BM's dresses came in and they had their fittings last week. I still need to order our personalized stadium cups, our OOT bags (since I pretty much have a headcount), assemble the hangover kits, find a flower for my hair, order my hanger fom etsy, decide if I want personalized cocktail stirrers for the cocktail party (I have personalized coasters already, would that be overkill?) and figure out our signature cocktails! Plus so much more...ahhh!!!
  20. I ordered my coasters from myweddingreceptionideas, com They are super cute!
