  2. is going Wow! Just recieved some amazing information!! So Kevin is best friends with Guy Fieri (Food Network Chef) and he is ordained and will be marrying us (this I have known for a while) but the exciting news is that Duff from Ace of Cakes wants to also attend our wedding and do our cake!!!! Kevin saw him at the NY Food and Wine Festival and apparently he loves diving and loves the Riviera Maya. Do you thin the resort will allow him to do the cake?
  3. Yes unfortunately we will already be gone. We will be at the resort from the 6th to the 13th.
  4. Oh yes please let us know. It would be nice to find a company that is reasonable so I dont have to bring all of that stuff down. Already worrying about how I am going to do that.
  5. I just started working with Wendy yesterday and she has already contacted the resort and she said my contract will be ready by Friday. Love her! And P.S. She is local to me so I can go give her a hug from both of us!
  6. Oh and I decided to hire a TA for peace of mind purposes. I found her on this forum and she is great. She also happens to coincidentally be local to us!!
  7. I have booked the solarium mundaca for our reception and the maracas terrace for our cocktail social on thursday. I have also booked the coba gazebo for our ceremony. So excited!!!
  8. Woo hoo! Recieved my email from Wilma. I am so excited to get stuff set in stone and get the plans for this wedding rolling!
  9. You are probably going to want to give yourself more time. The dress shops say you should order 6 to 8 months in advance. Otherwise you may have to buy the one at the store.
  10. I can't imagine customs holding anyone up over an aisle runner, I wouldnt worry about it.

  17. I am also a June 2011 bride. We are getting married on June 11, 2011 at Aventura Cove Palace. We have invited about 220 people and we are expecting about 100 to attend. I am so very excited and so happy to have found this forum!!
  18. Does anyone have Wilma's email address? I want to email her and get my spots reserved for my cocktail social and reception dinner. It makes me very happy that they will put up all of the decorations that we bring.
  19. I love the idea of paper lanterns and I feel like they won't take up that much room. When they are folded they are pretty small. Have you already reserved these spots or are you waiting to talk to the WC?
  20. Why are you going to ditch the paper lanterns? Is there no where to hang them? I am thinking because of our numbers that we are are going to have to do our reception at the solarium mundaca and from the looks of it, there is no where to hang lanterns.
