  1. Love these but I need more than 9. Can you tell me where you got them?
  2. Do you have Veronica's info? I would book them now to make sure that you can get them all done around the same time.
  3. Jessica- I have already booked spa pedicures for myself, my girls, my mom, FI's mom and my grandma. I wanted them to do them as early as possible and try and do as many of us together as they can. One of our good friends who is also my hairdresser is coming to the wedding and he is going to do my hair in our room. I am wearing it down with big barrel curls and a few clip in extensions with maybe a little bit pulled back and a flower in my hair (no veil). I am still trying to figure out what I am going to do for make-up. I am nervous about having the salon do it there. FI and I are going to get a couples massage the day before the wedding so I don't think I will get anything else done the day of the wedding.
  4. Yes you can use the vacation dollars for the viseographer, I checked with the resort already. I hied the videographer for two hours, do you think I should have them their longer?
  5. They are gorgeous but there is no way I could get them to Mexico.
  6. So I did!! Gonzalo Nunez is officially booked for the wedding! I feel so much more at ease knowing that I am going to have a professional and trustworthy photographer to capture our day and do our TTD the next day.
  7. Thanks for your input Nicole. I love your pictures. Did the resort spa do your hair and make-up? It looks great!
  8. Quote:Originally Posted by nicdeb928 @Jessica- my wedding ceremony was at 3pm...I met my bridesmaids at the spa at 8:30, we all went thru the hour beforehand together and all had appts at 9:30, after my 50 min accupressure appt, i showered in the spa and walked over to the salon for my 11:00 Hair & 12:30 makeup appt...i was done at 1:30, so that gave me about an hour to hang in the room with my girls and get my dress on...if i could do it again, i would probably give myself an extra 30minutes...so i wouldnt feel as rushed.... @ Alisa- the things I thought were definitely worth it were the videographer (i paid for 4 extra hours to last thru reception-now that its all over, i love having that video to watch and relive everything), horse & carriage (the pictures and experience is priceless), harpist (everyone complemented on how beautiful it sounded & felt), cocktail hour (gave everyone time to mingle, and me time to get some pictures done with everyone), mexican trio for cocktail hour (again, everyone loved having them there), upgraded wedding cake (we had 55ppl so we needed it, but it was delicious and looked great in the pics), flowers on the 6 tables (they were all beautiful and again looked great in pics!) and lastly, the welcome dinner (we paid $600 for 50 guests and it was awesome! gave everyone time to meet and mingle, the food was amazing and it was a great way to start the wedding celebrations, we had an engagement party in NJ for $100 ppl that cost us $5000, so I felt $600 was a great price for $50)....if you look thru my pics, you'll probably see a picture of everything that I just mentioned, and it might give you a better feel to decided if you want it to be a part of your day...
  9. I don't think we an use it for the entertainment but I just checked www.palaceresortsweddingphotos.com and it looks like we can use it for the videographer that costs $500, so that is a good sign. My Fi and I are going to have $3000 vacation dollars because we have to book a room for his three kids and one of our names has to be on that room because they are all under 18. So, we need to find things to spend it on. I am thinking champagne upgrades galore!!!
  10. Not sure if everyone has recieved this yet, but I am attaching the updated spa price list. Vanessa just emailed this to me on Friday. I am having her set-up our spa appointments now to ensure that we get what we want at the times that we want. SPA PRICE LIST RIVIERA MAYA 2011.xls SABE 2011 RIVIERA.xls
  11. The purple will be a nice touch to keep it in your color scheme.
  12. As women, we just have a much better vision of everything and a lot of the time the guys just do want to "show up". My FI and I went to pick out their tuxes last week so he feels like he is helping with that. I am also making him pick out the menu (he is the cook in the house). We did register together and he actually had a really fun time with that. But for the most part, it is me and my mom doing everything else. It will all come together and he will appreciate it more than ever when he realizes all the hard work that you heve put into it.
  13. Thank you so much Nicole! It is reassuring to hear that you didn't have any problems. What did you order seperately from the resort? Any changes you would have made to things that you ordered?
  14. His prices are actually very reasonable and I love his work plus I get all of my images in high-res. He also has great reviews on this thread. I am still waiting to hear back from 2 other photographers but I had him send me a contract.
  15. Jessica- Thanks for the information that is good to know. Looks like I am going with Gonzalo Nunez. I love his work and he is doing the TTD session the day after wedding. He will be with us for 10 hours on wedding day And he knows of some beautiful cenotes for the TTD. Are you using their floral services or bringing real touch flowers? That is the big decision I am stuck dealing with right now. I sent Wilma pictures of briddesmaids bouquets that I like and she quoted me reasonable prices, but I am still not sure what I want to do.
  16. So....I joined the bandwagon and I am hiring an outside photographer. I just dont get a good vibe from the photography department at our resort. I have been dealing with them for the past few days and they are rude and completely unproffessional. i have decided to cancel my wedding package and buy everything that I want separately (ie fireworks, horse carriage ride, soloist). Is everyone else just buying their photographer a day pass? Anyone worried about it?
  17. I am getting married at Aventura Cove palace and their rate is the same unless we have 75 room nights booked then we get unlimited private functions. We are already over half way there and that is with only a small fraction of our guests officially booked. May be you can work something like this out with your resort also.
  18. Love your pictures! I am booking him for our wedding in June!!!
  19. I am currently working with Wendy also and she has been a great help! It is so nice to know that my guests are being taken care of!
  20. Yes I did look at her pictures and they were great. I may want to look around for a TTD photographer though. The resort photographer wants to charge $500 for the session which includes 40 photos and a photo book. Does your TTD session price include pistures or the negatives?
  21. I put both of our parents on the wprding of the invitation even though my parents are contributing more than his are. It is just easier this way and my parents were fine with it.
