You have a lot done for your OOT bags, that is great! It is probably nice to only have to do 8, you can make them more personalized.

I am getting married June 11th and my shower will be April 23rd. Which ends up being about a month and a half before the wedding.

I am not the best at math either but the total for 40 people is looking to be around $1200. Do you have to do it at a hall? My bridesmaids are throwing mine at one of their houses and I know it will be much cheaper than that. I have also thrown two bridal showers, both in my parents backyard and they turned out great plus it was more intimate. Just a thought...

I am also a June 11th bride! I have my dress already also, what dress did you choose? All of my vendors have been recommended by the resort except for my photographer, I am sneaking him in with a day pass I am still compiling my bags, but they will have chapstick, sunscreen, key holders, small first aid kits, playing cards and whatever else I can find.

I think the dress looks great on you and I wouldn't add the belt. The belt would clash with the style of the dress and it already has great lines to it.

I have decided on "Walk with You" by Edwin McCain. I love that song and it fits so perfectly.

I am having harpist play during the ceremony. Any suggestions on what to have him play during the sand ceremony?

Ladies, ladies!! I have some good news!!! Apparently, the resort is offering special rates right now if you book on-line. So, my travel agent contacted me and she is going to try and get our rates adjusted. So, I would go on-line and see if your TA's rates are the same and if not get them adjusted!! They are also advertising that kids stay free during the summer of 2011, so if you have any guests bringing kids, you should have them adjust that too. Also, they have another promotion specific to our resort stating that all of the vacation dollars we receive can be used at the spa. I just emailed Vanessa to ask her if that is the case and what limitations there are to it. I will let you all know what she says. It would be great if we had more than $300 to use there, On a final note.... I am doing a 6pm ceremony and I just found out that there are 3 other weddings booked before mine (3pm, 4pm and 5pm). Not to sure how I feel about this.

Oh decisions, decisions!!!

I am getting married at Aventura Cove Palace in June and they have been very accomodating so far. I would reccommend hiring a TA and have them add the resort featured perks (ie vacation dollars and free nights and free private functions) into the contract. This way the resort will honor them. Try to book everything you can in advance to ensure that you get what you want. I am very happy so far!

Does anyone have a play list for the harpist? Past brides - If you had the harpist, were you able to hear it okay? I have heard rumors that the harpist can be overtaken by the sound of the waves and the wind.

Love the ceremony wording. I am getting two wedding bands. One for the top and one for the bottom. I will have to figure out how we are going to do this. Hmmmmm.......

I am doing orange and fuschia but I am having my girls wear black dresses. Their bouquets will be bright and I am buying them fuschia heels. Pick colors that you are passionate about since you will be surrounded by them!
