I just told my fiance we are putting hand sanitizer in our welcome bags!!

We JUST decided on the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana for March next year! Are any other DR brides recommending vaccinations or other preventive health precautions to guests? (e.g., cholera vaccine, malaria meds, avoiding drinking ANY water even on the campus of the resorts, etc.) Obviously, the recent cholera outbreak is concerning me!

My fiance and I are still trying to decide on a location for our destination wedding. I am torn between choosing a more luxurious resort in a more luxurious area (at a more luxurious price) and choosing a more affordable location so that more of our friends can come. We REALLY want as many friends and as much family as possible to come to the wedding, but are afraid that there will be many folks that won't be able to come anyway! Regardless of how low the price seems in comparison to the others. How did you ladies choose your sites bearing in mind the financial commitment required from your guest? HELP!

My FH and I finally think we have decided on the D.R. for our wedding (though Mexico is still a very close 2nd). His sister got married at the Iberostar in Montego Bay last year and it was great. So, we are considering the Iberostar in Punta Cana for our ceremony. There are four resorts clustered together on the complex ranging from least to greatest in price: The Punta Cana, The Dominican, The Bavaro and the Grand Bavaro (which just won for best all-inclusive on trip advisor this year). If anyone can provide ANY thoughts on Iberostar in general, the above-listed properties or even comments that will make me feel confident in my decision about the D.R. (I have heard horror stories about lack of English-speaking and getting sick from the food), PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE do! Thanks!

Definitely agree that with your specifications, Bahamas, Jamaica and Las Vegas should be your choices. I personally think the Bahamas or Jamaica would give you a better experience in terms of class and elegance.
