Try changing the text direction in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 if you have it on your computer. You can make any image with your text in that program and then rotate it at any angle you want. Then save the new image with the rotated text. This is a great program for stuff like this.

Give her a special role in helping your get ready for the ceremony. This would probably work as long as you didn't want her to be up front and visible in some role. She may feel more connected and appreciated if she is in a special helping role on your big day.

Arranging for some sort of a babysitting option could help. If you can make the childcare option something fun and exciting it wouldn't seem like as big of an issue. Find someone really creative to do the babysitting. Have them come up with a theme and arrange games, activities, etc.. around that.

I'd wait to give them out until after you had arrived and were settled.
