I love the bags! Very cool. Are you going to put a logo or iron on or something, or just leave them plain? I'm looking at ones from a company called gemline. But we don't have really any people going with us so it's not a big deal. In some ways I can spend the same amount and get more just because I don't have much to get.

I completely agree! If the reviews are fake, what good does it do anyone? None for sure. As a moderator, one of the things I pass on to new brides to be is to look at the resort and vendor reviews that are posted here. If I'm not giving someone realistic suggestions I definitely would like to know. I'm not entirely sure that there is much that can be done but I'll look into it.

Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

The Pisces is completely open air. During the day it's where you get jerk chicken. it's the lunch time hang out. It's right near the water. Strongly recommend bug spray. If you have it rented for the evening they will close it down to everyone else and it's very pretty with the lights strung. I would highly recommend Raschel Edwards for hair and makeup. She's extremely popular and does the air brush. You can have her onto the resort for a day pass the last I heard. Don't do the spa unless you're prepared to be very strict with them and be very vocal. They have a tendency to overdo it. The hair spray they use though is magical. They call it cement because it's guaranteed your hair won't move and a word of warning. The gazebo is very windy especially for April brides. it's nice in the heat because you get a breeze but for veil ladies, get weights. Your veil will be all over the place usually in your face. We got married in October and we had an afternoon shower but if didn't last long. A one o'clock ceremony was all we could get and it was hot. Really hot. I don't have any good things to say about the resort photographers. The prices are outrageous and the packages suck. The Dolce Vita is very popular and the food has been excellent. Don't know if that has changed or not. The grill was very good too. Don't know if that's useful to anyone or not. We loved the resort and the Jamaican people. We were in the new section which apparently now is Don Pablo and they charge extra for it. Too bad. Our room was phenomenal. If you look at my gallery some of our pictures are there. Good luck ladies and happy planning! -

Planning A Wedding In Bahamas...please Help!
acw271011 replied to ChristinaNW's topic in Bahamas Weddings
Congrats and welcome to the site! I'm sure you will find loads of tips and ideas here as you go through your planning journey! Firstly I would strongly recommend a travel agent, particularly if you're trying to determine where. They can help you with details that you might not be aware of, and some resorts might offer perks for having a group that only a travel agent would know about. There might also be special pricing for groups that a travel agent would be able to explain. Plus, once everyone starts to book, a travel agent will take the stress from you when it comes to all the questions, because generally people do have questions. The agents affiliated with this site are DW specialists. I'm sure they would be able to help you out. There is a contact form on the site. Secondly take a look through the reviews of both the vendors and the resorts. The ladies here are excellent at providing comments, and pretty good about adding their reviews. Good luck and happy planning! -

That's so pretty!!!!! if I had more people I would do fans!!! What about not wrapping the handle? just wrapping where you have the coral on this one, then tying it so you don't have to use glue? Sort of like when you wrap gifts? Would that work? -

It will be, I'm sure! If you're happy with it, that's the only thing that mattes, and as you've noted, it's a popular colour here for the ladies! -

That I will absolutely agree with! lol My original choice was a salmon/coral colour but the pink has kind grown on me and I'm a complete sucker for pink flowers so it'll work. -

Thank you! The tumblers I was looking at were discountmugs too but I have to order a minimum of 12. I think that might be ok because Doug and use them anyway so spares could always go in the trailer. The little clamshell is just so pretty!! And yes - if there was ever a day to pamper yourself it's your wedding day! I say go for it and do the whole thing!! Have fun with it!! -
I so love reading these threads. You ladies give me my giggle for the day. You're also a whole lot braver than I am!!! Waxing?? Really? OUCH!!! I probably shouldn't say that. My stomach looks like a road map with all the surgery scars. You would think waxing would be easy as pie but it takes me 3 days to get over having my eyebrows done so anywhere else? Uummmm nope. Not matter what there is only one way to spell C H I C K E N! And that's me! lmao The other thing. I promise you will all NOT be hot messes on your wedding day. It will be over before you know it and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about. With all of the careful planning I've seen here, you're all going to have beautiful weddings!! I can't wait to see all the pictures!!

I'm booked with Styling Trio too, and yes they are absolutely an outside vendor. Azul Fives charges $800 for each one, then I've heard you also have to pay for a day pass. I"m going into their salon too. Just much easier.
