  1. Where did you get your photo sand box? That's what I'm looking for but don't like what I've found so far!! Care to share the cost? I really like that! How much sand will it hold? Sorry - your pictures are great!! Your daughter was just adorable with her tutu! And you were a gorgeous bride!!
  2. I've never done shellac on gel nails! Wow. I do it on my own nails. But doesn't the gel ruin your nails just as much? I've had it done once or twice and stopped because it was a disaster afterwards.
  3. I find mine when I do shellac grow like CRAZY!!!! I can generally get about 3 weeks from each one but you can see the growth and if I try and stretch it longer than that then you can really see!! I had one done a week ago sunday and you can already see the bottom of the nail. Don't think I'll get 3 weeks out of this one. My only argument with the shellac is that it destroys your nails. I love it cuz it's nice and shiny and looks so pretty but the after effects suck.
  4. Hey congrats on being a Mrs!! You definitely have to post the photog pics when you get them! And a review too!! Yep you're right Kim. I couldn't see any either.
  5. I almost want to say less than a week before you go. It depends too on how long you're there before your wedding. I would say try to time it so that it's no more than a week before your actual wedding date.
  6. Oh I love the something blue!!! And I love it as the one nail!! Very cool! I so can't wait to see Sam's photos!!!! And congrats on it really being official!!! Hey Mrs!
  7. I'll second or third on the wow for the bouquet! Pretty! I don't have a creative bone anywhere and I have 10 thumbs so I always envy what other people can create!
  8. Yep I can relate to all that. Plus polycystic ovaries, cervical cancer at age 30 and finally an ovarian tumor the size of a baseball. That's what prompted it all coming out. Kim, you may be familiar with this, not sure. My sister and I are D.E.S. babies so we've both had cervical cancer and it's what my mom died from at age 41 back in 1973. Totally different world now. You ladies are so lucky to be living in a world that has so much medical knowledge now!
  9. Oh my goodness now I know why I stop here all the time. You girls are just the best. I get my giggles, I get tears, I get useful information! Wow. Who knew? lol Still....... I'm going to be real mean and say - no worries here!! lol Loooooooooong gone. Let's spell hysterectomy! lol Sorry. Again, couldn't resist. And I absolutely DO NOT MISS any of that stuff!! lol In fact if I had known 20 years ago what I know now, I would have said take a shovel and get it all out a whole lot sooner than I did! lol But I also had all my kiddos so it wasn't a concern. I so don't envy you young ladies! Things sure have changed a lot Kim since I took birth control many, many, many moons ago! At least it provides options.
  10. Kristy that's so pretty!! I almost want to say why would you want to trash it?? lol Are you holing it in a lot? Is there a lot of altering to do?
  11. I have to ask - did you find the satin dress hot? I've wanted to stay away from satin only because I was worried that it was too heavy and too warm.
  12. @@JoannaBanana you can start a private conversation with her if you like by clicking on the little while envelope at the top and keying in her user name here. Her email is weddingsinplayadelcarmen@@gmail.com I'm so happy we have her, especially after the fiasco with Azul Fives. Don't get me wrong - I love the resort and we're still going to stay there but for a really small, small group for a wedding it was like they just didn't care. It was roadblocks all the way!
  13. That's what we ended up doing. Nothing was working with Azul fives. They're online system let me book a venue that was already reserved and it just went down hill from there. There is Blue Venado that has a thread on here and a very recent wedding. Take a look. From what I understand it was quite reasonable. we're doing a restaurant dinner after our renewal and I'm so happy we ended up going that route! And Joyce is amazing with the planning!!!!!
  14. We've got Samuel too. I love his work! Can't wait to see the pro shots. Beautiful bride as she was and his work - should be awesome!
  15. Oh that's pretty! I love the flower bunches on either side. I wasn't planning on ones that big only because I have to pay for them. Since we aren't doing a resort package anymore, I have to count everything individually. Mind you the prices are very reasonable but the fancier you make it the higher the cost!
  16. Kristy the eyelashes look fabulous!! I really thought I had pretty decent lashes but I look at what the add-ons do for your eyes and it's amazing! Love the flip flops!! They're so cute!! I will be checking out La Vie en Rose! I hate the swimsuit shopping!! But you're right - the sales clerks can drive you bonkers sometimes!! And I find with that store they're so desperate for commission that they're always all over you! The shells are perfect! And the test run looks great! I think that's a perfect centerpiece!! Looking forward to dress pics! I think that's great what you have and I don't think you need to add anymore. If it was me I'd be thrilled with all of that!
  17. Am I allowed to squeal?????? OMG - you looked amazing!!!! The little ones are totally beyond adorable!!! I saw the post from Samuel but didn't realize it was you guys!! lol So happy to hear it all went well. The teasers are great! So can't wait to see more!!!!! lol Congrats on being a Mrs!! I got mail too!!
  18. We're doing the turquoise draping with fuschia pink flowers on either side. I just don't want them that high up. I want to move them mid-way on either side.
  19. I'll be honest. This is the first time I've heard of this. Good luck to both of you. @@Victoriabride I'm glad they let you send yours back. You definitely got lucky there.
  20. I absolutely would not want to be dealing with a situation like that. I think you'll end up with a lot of offended family and friends. You're almost better to elope and just do a big party when you get home. I don't think there's an easy way to get around it and I don't think there is any "un-rude" way to say "hey we're getting married but you can't come". Maybe not say anything to anyone at all. As soon as you do, word gets around and usually within families, it's very quickly!
