    I agree. I have been to many bridal showers and I have never recieved a favor. If you did one it would be great but I would not feel obligated to do them.

    Glad to hear thaht it went so well. I would be so upset if my mother in law had asked if she could wear white. You handled it very well.

    I agree with Wedding May. Your wedding is far away and they often don't respond until closer to the wedding. I was trying to planning my wedding 2 years in advance and it would often take my resort planner 3-4 weeks to get back to me on questions. I wouldn't worry yet.

    I like number 2 best but I agree with all the grls on here. Make sure that you go to a bridal store and try on the two different styles. I had picked a dress online that I loved but when I tried it on I was not that happy with it. Instead I found a mermaid type dress that looked amazing on me.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I have been trying to follow a standard wedding timeline but it isn't the same. It is nice to have one that actually is meant for a destination wedding.

    We also debated with this. My fiancee is a photographer and one of his friends (who is also a photographer) offered to shoot our wedding if we just paid for his trip. We considered it for a bit because with him we knew what we were getting but in the end decided not to. If something goes wrong or we arent happy with the pics it could make the friendship akward. We booked a professional and our friend will take pics and enjoy himself.

    We are staying at the resort for an extra four days once everyone leaves. There are a few people that are staying longer and we have decided that we are just not telling anyone where we will be for those few days. We are spending an entire week with everyone.

    We did the same thing. As soon as we decided on a place and date I mailed out postcard STDs. About 4 months before the wedding I am planning on sending out boarding pass invites.

    Hey ladies I have my mind set on a pair of sparkly blue heels for my wedding shoes. I am having a really hard time finding a pair. Anyone have any good suggestions or designers that I should look at? Thanks

    We also decided not to do it as the main reason that we were having a destination wedding was to save money. We did however do an engagment party and invited all of our friends and family so those who could not make it got a chance to celebrate with us.

    I emailed her almost a week ago and have not yet got a response. Has anyone else found that her response time is really slow?

    I wish I had known that you could have got any of the bubba mugs last week. I got the alert but it was only for the travel mugs. I need to keep watching every week as the wedding will come quickly.

    I am glad to get some information as I like a few brides on here would never want to release something that would harm the environment or the animals. I am going to order mine off sky lanterns unless I can find somewhere local to Toronto to buy them.

    My understanding from them was that the vendor fee was $200 or $250 (cant remember exactly) and was $350 for photography.

    Tai Floral is the florst with the ROR and they don't charge a vendor fee. I found that Jan's was about $200 cheaper but the vendor fee is $250 so it isn't worth it.

    I am not 100% but I am pretty sure I am going with Tai Floral. I felt a little more comfortable using the flosrist that the resort uses. With the vendors fee her pricing was close to the same at Tai Florals.

    Has anyone recently used Sheila's Bakery? I am considering using her for our December wedding but I am wondering how her cakes tastes and if they are what people expected.
