    I am! He was born here in NJ but family is from there & he still has some relatives in DR. We knew we wanted a destination wedding and chose DR b/c we alreay had a connection to the island.

    I can't believe there are so many of us getting married on 4-21-12! We have also had a long engagement- since January 21, 2010!!! I love this site & all the information I have gotten from it. We are hoping to send our save the dates by the end of April 2011. I also just tried dresses on for the first time this week, so I am getting so excited I feel like the wheels are finally starting to move on this wedding!

    I have been eying some AA dresses but haven't been able to try any on yet. I hope to find a store that carries the bridal gowns near me soon!

    We just got back from our "scouting" trip to DR and were deciding between Flor de Cabrera & Sunrise Villa. We just decided this weekend to go with Flor de Cabrera and are booking it for April 21, 2012! Going into the trip we were favoring Sunrise, but after touring them both Flor just blew us away. Ruthie & Dan (the owners) are very friendly & helpful. I look forward to planning & working with them for the next 15/16 months! Good luck with all of your plans as well!
