  1. Gorgeous! I just found the inspiration for my hair! Thank you!!
  2. It's so cool to read your planning thread and then be able to see everything in action at your wedding! Great review!
  3. This planning thread is incredible! Thank you-- I just got so many great ideas!! Great job!
  4. Oops. I forgot to mention music! DJ : The DJ we originally wanted was booked. We now have DJ Joaquin -- $900 for the whole night (less than many of the more well known ones), from ceremony to reception. He has been great so far -- super responsive and organized. Cocktail hour music: Daryl Currie, a guitarist. (We want someone who can play Spanish guitar plus Jack Johnson -- he can do both!) $300/hour or $500 for two hours.
  5. Hi sesilamadrigal! We are having a pretty big wedding -- 130 -150 people, so I am trying to cut costs where I can! Flowers/Centerpieces: I would go through Leoan from Emporio Arte Floral or Lola from Florenta. Both vendors gave many options, worked with my budget, and were very creative. These two were the most cost effective and responsive that I've found. Cake: We might either do a small one, mini cupcakes, or skip it altogether. Cabo Azul serves chocolate cake as one of their dessert options, that will be our guests "wedding cake" -- cake is cake, right? However, if you are looking for a vendor, Cabo Azul recommends Jennifer Hatton. She seems to be a pretty popular vendor BDW too. Photography: Alec & T. (www.alecandt.com). They are much more expensive than some other photographers in Cabo, but pictures are important to us, so that is our splurge. I am in love with their work. Hair/Make-up: Susanne Morel. I know Cabo Azul has a spa/hair/make-up person, but I haven't heard anything about them. I am going to Suzanne Morel because of her great reputation. Rehersal Dinner: Tequila's PM me if you would like to hear more or have any questions! Good luck with your planning! We'll be at Cabo Azul through the 20th, so we might bump into each other! Lisa
  6. I LOVE this idea! Yes, please! Etsy sellers might jump on board with this as well.
  7. strawberry daiquiris : cruise ships
  8. I love this! Did people get it? Was anyone confused? Just wondering how this was received by your guests because I'd love to steal your idea!
  9. This is a lot of work! Thank you for sharing these -- they're awesome. I especially love the front cover!
  10. What beautiful details! You looked gorgeous and so happy. Loved the bouquet, too!
  11. I love how you scheduled your cocktail "hours" so that you and your FI could join. Did you still have a grand entrance where you were introduced as husband and wife at your reception or did you skip that part? We are scheduled for pictures for an entire hour after the ceremony, and would miss the cocktail hour (which we would love to go to!) so I am looking for other options! You looked beautiful. Loved your dress and your flowers!
  12. How have you worded your registry information on your website? After searching through countless threads, I've only seen a few examples of the wording. I would like to start with "Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could receive" -- very similar to some of the other BDW brides. But from there, I get stuck and haven't found anything I love that tactfully states that we registered anyway for those guests that won't be able to make it or want to buy a gift regardless of where the wedding takes place. Suggestions??
  13. I love the blue and green theme! You put in so much work into your wedding and it shows -- it was beautiful!
