sorry this is a late response, but to FRANCINE ~ Yes, I stayed at The Excellence in Punta Cana, D.R. last July and loved it. Yes, they have the flea market, and if you would like to PM me your info, I will send you the link to all my facebook pictures which might help. I took pics of everything including the products they give you in the room which also helps with your OOT bag so you don't duplicate. There is a thread on here for the Excellence which I chime in on as well. Let me know if you have any questions. I saw weddings while I was there.

Well, I am getting married in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. I was there last Summer which is where my FI proposed. I love cuban cigars but the Dominican ones are really nice as well so we will probably do a box of each. Anyway, fortunately for us, most all of the resorts have little "flea markets" on the beach (I've confirmed that ours does) and they all sell them and make really good bargains with you. We also tipped our pool waiter nicely throughout the week, and on our last day he actually brought us some as a gift! Dominicans are really nice! So, long story short, we are purchasing them when we get down there. Cuban cigars are not allowed in the states. So there is no way I could purchase any of those before we left. I considered having a cigar roller at our beach party, but I don't think we have enough cigar smokers in a group to justify the cost. I am also going to buy little bottles of dominican rum once we get there for oot bags.

Novagirl - Congrats!!! I can't wait to see you pictures, and I am so happy you had a great experience. This reassures me! What was your room number? I want to make sure our TA puts our request in for the "new" rooms. All of my guests are booked in the RST. I am so jealous that you had La Uva. I have heard it is really nice and I want a private reception but they have apparently changed their rules to minimum 40 guests which we might have just under So I will be battling that one since it was 20 people when I booked the place.

Brandy - I think I am going to get wrist corsages from the resort for the mothers. This will also help to cover there resort wristband for pictures since they aren't allowed to take it off. Also, I am having them both carry in sand for the ceremony. I am having each one bring up there sand to "pass off" to us for the ceremony. I am using a black vase and a fuschia vase which are my colors with a clear monogram vase for the unity vase.

I've decided on having a candy/cigar table at the Beach party for my DW. I am doing skittles which are my FI's fav, I think I'm going to do my "mint to be" matchbooks, I have personalized matches that I want to put next to a box of cubans and dominican cigars, and I think I'm going to order the personalized swirl pops from oriental trading. They look cute.

I LOVE your centerpieces. How creative! I hope I can come up with something like that. Is that all glass? How do you planning on getting it down there?

I like writing, but all in all, the wording was good and it was one less thing for me to have to do. If nothing else, it can start you off if you are having writer's block.

Wow! I feel bad for you snow storm girls! I am not a snow person and we have actually had some this year (abnormal winter!) Hopefully those days are over as we know have sunny skies and mid 70's. Woo Hoo! So I just posted this on the May thread but wanted to share with you girls as well because I was so excited, and my FI actually got excited when he saw everything and started coming up with new ideas...I was somewhat in shock LOL ........ Sooo obssessed with VistaPrint. Everything for my first order turned out great. I think I spent aroudn $36 and got freebies and free shipping. They "said" 21 days but my order came in less than 2 weeks! I LOVE it and can't wait to place another order! I get free postcards next so suggestions on what to make with them since you get so many. Not shown below, but I also ordered the free rubber self inking stamp with our names and our address on it. Used the rack cards to make my door hangers. So happy with how they turned out! Oversized postcards which I used as for the Welcome letters. Turned out awesome, look professional, and I LOVE them! I got "save the date" cards with envelopes for free so I made stationary with my new name on them for some little thank you notes I can write. I got the pen for free and a steal of a deal on the business cards which I am come to use as thank you tags on OOT bags, luggage tags, key/tip holder cards, and maybe some other things! FREE Car Magnet (P.S. My FI's name is Winston, but I call him Winnie so we are "Winnie & Tiffy")

so on the map "55" and "56" ? I have seen pics of swim up suites that look the above as well but on the map it doesn't look like there are any pools at 55 & 56.... soooo confusing sorry

I think I want my mom to just totally shortened this all together. I just feel that the long will be too formal and she will get hot dancing at the beach party, plus I know my FMIL will definitely wear short. What do you girls think?

Luggage tags turned out great! I love your sand ceremony. Too bad I already have something for mine...now I'm just trying to figure out how to seal the top of our vase and get it home.
